"Stop don't you dare fucking touch me!" Hailey viciously pushes her husband away from her. Finally, he surrenders backing away from her. Hailey glares at the man from across the room as she grabs her purse and keys. He briskly follows her taking note of her actions.
"Where are you going?" Her husband interrogates.
Hailey scoffs at the man continuing on with her actions. She opens the door for it to only slam shut on her. She sees a large hand laid on top of the door. Her eyes scans over to her husband's face. His veins are popping out his neck, while his jaw muscle begins to tighten.
"Goddamit Hailey. Can you just stop being such a b*tch and listen to me." Hailey continues to pull on the door with all her might. "Hello, I'm talking to you. Where are you going?" Hailey stands her ground, not uttering a word. Finally fed up with her antics he yanks her arm trying to get her attention. " So you're just going to leave huh? You can't run away from everything darling." Whispering the last part into to her ear.
Feeling that his grip has loosened Hailey comes back to her senses. "No. Stop! Don't you even dare Liam! It's too late to act like you care! You have never cared before. You didn't care that night! You didn't even pay attention. I was hurt so badly, shit I'm still hurting. My heart aches every day, but you don't know Liam!" Her chest heaves up down, finally letting out her pent up anger she's been holding in for years. Liam stands there baffled by his wife words. "And don't worry about where I'm going. If you ever paid any attention you would have noticed that it's time for me to get Magdalena from school. Or did you forget about her too?" She sneers.
Hailey grabs her purse and keys from the floor and storms out the house to her car. Liam stands there for a moment trying to process what just happened. Soon as he hears the car door slam he finds himself chasing after his wife. Liam runs up to the 2015 silver Toyota and bangs his fist on the driver window. Hailey attempts to ignore him as helpless tears cascades down her rosy pink tinted cheeks. Her hands quiver while she tries to start the car. Finally, she hears the engine roar to life. Hailey doesn't hesitate before backing up not even noticing she almost ran over her husband. As she continues to drive she can faintly hear Liam shouting after her. Eventually, he gives up. Soon the sound of Liam's voice can no longer be heard as his figure slowly fades away into the distance. Yet, the house still remains insight. Hailey looks back one more time, she doesn't know why she does. But she looks back on not just at the house, but everything else. Maybe it was because she was feeling like she was making a huge mistake. And she did. All it took was one look back. And that's how it all began.
