A/N:

Okay.... So this is the first chapter!! :o

I am so, so, so sorry - if anyone is reading this lol probz not - I didn't update yesterday or the day before! I didn't get it done ): I thought I would've, but then my laptop got taken away from me so I didn't get to finish the chapter until just then! *wipes sweat away from my forehead* It was antagonizing, lol kidding! But it was kind of hard!

I will be posting a new chapter every once or twice a week, I think :D It will become my goal to finish this story! (: I've never finished anything before, so this will be the first thing I DEFINITELY will finish. If I am slack, you can smack my butt. With a chair. Made of steel. *grumbles under breath...* that'll definitely make me get up and finish it lol (:

Alrighty, now that I'm done... No, wait! Either every Thursday or Friday, I'll try and post another chapter on Wattpad (: I'll frantically write in Sport too :3 (I just sit there doing absolutely NOTHING hehe but I'm allowed to do that) Anyhoo, any nice comments/votes would be appreciated!(: Baaaaai, my lovely pandas! (; See you at the other end....

Hearing the pitter patter of little feet, I knew it was time to get up. I groan and slowly swing my legs over the bed, careful not to wake up my son who had skilfully climbed into my bed in the middle of the night. The little daredevil.

My beautiful son is called Kaleb Johnny Morcroft. He has no father, unfortunately. I don't even know who it is. The night he was conceived I was too drunk to even comprehend what was happening. I don't even remember what happened, to be honest. I may sound like a whore, but that was the first time I ever went to a party with my - ex - best friend and got so drunk. I regretted it, but I didn't regret Kaleb.

I heard him quietly snoring and smiled, leaning over to kiss his forehead. I will wake him up before I have to leave, I thought. I moved to my closet and took out my uniform for work. It was a typical waitress uniform - black dress and white apron - but I didn't put the apron on until I entered the café. It was a pretty easy job to do, but it paid the bills. I still lived with my mother, but my father hasn't lived with us for years. He left at the mention of my youngest sister - September May Morcroft - because he didn't love my mother and he didn't want to stay and ruin more lives by staying with her. We later found out that he was also cheating on Mum and we have hated him since we found out, except Seppie. She loves him so much, she's the only reason our father is allowed in the house and also because Kaleb wants him around too. I would do anything for Kaleb and my family so I've tolerated him.

"Paige, Kaden and September, hurry up! You have to be ready by the time I leave this door!" My mother, Edith Smith, shouted out down the hallway with a stressed look on her face. She always worked herself so much with all the kids around here. My two older brothers and sister have left, but Berkeley still comes back with his "latest edition", as he calls them, every month or so. Berkeley was twenty years old but that didn't stop from continuing being an idiot and a man whore. I am not ashamed or anything, I just wished he'd stop it. It's sort of childish sometimes.

Mum and Dad were keen on have unique and weird names. The exception is Paige because she has known three other Paige's in her school. My other brother is called Denzel Godric Morcroft, while my sister is called Ria Naomi Morcroft. My name was unfortunately "Adelaide Mel Morcroft", my middle name was seriously "Mel". I always questioned Mum about it and she said I suited Mel, not Melanie.

I walked up to my mum and smiled warmly at her, I was slightly taller than her but only because we were short. "Mum, I can take them. The schools are all close together and I have to take Kaleb to Day Care today," I say, rubbing her arm soothingly. Her shoulders slumped and her eyes brightened.
