Sarah
I boarded the train with my fluffy pink gown, embarrassing to the public eye, along with my bright pink suitcase I lowered my gaze tilting my velvet straw hat downwards, covering my small face only showing the tip of my nose along with my red colored lips. I walked towards a seat that was open within the middle of the train. I sat down and was about to lay my suitcase on the chair that was empty right next to me when a man suddenly sat down within that second.
I moved my suitcase out of the way quickly when the man grabbed it towards him and stated "excuse me, may I take your suitcase and put it above me? Within the cabinet above me that is?"My eyes were still covered by my huge velvet straw hat, I didn't know with whom I spoke to but I let go of my suitcase anyways. I heard the cabinet click shut and heard him sit down right next to me.
"Uh, this is such a tough and boring day." He muttered.
I looked towards the window, I titled my hat downwards even more.
"You seem very bored?" I stated.
"Yes, yes I am, I've got a long day." He replied.
I heard the man snoring right after he spoke.
Is he really sleeping?
I titled my head upwards along with my velvet straw hat. I looked at the man who was resting beside me. He had slightly light tan skin along with dark black hair with full colored black eyebrows. He had long eyelashes and looked as if he was a businessman from the way he had dressed. He wore a black tuxedo along with brown shoes with laces. The man opened his eyes that were light blue like ice and quickly looked directly at me, within that second I gasped.
I quickly covered my mouth and looked towards the window again.
How embarrassing.
The man looked towards me and said laughing "I'm handsome aren't I?"
"What's your name?" He asked.
I looked at him and smiled while tapping my head in embarrassment.
"My name is Sarah." I said.
His ice blue eyes pierced through my brown eyes and within that second he grabbed my hand and planted a soft kiss on the front of it.
"My name is Joseph and I find you highly attractive." He stated.
I pulled my hand away quickly and said "Thank you for your kindness but I believe you shouldn't say such words to someone whom you've just met." I stated.
He smiled. "I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable, Sarah"
The train stopped and everyone got pushed forward by its stop.
"Are you okay?" Joseph asked.
"Yes and yourself." I stated.
"Perfect" he said.
Joseph stood up and started walking towards the head train drivers door. I followed behind him.
"Is everything okay here?" Joseph asked the driver.
"No, the train broke down and the next train into town is 10 miles away, all we can do is walk." The driver replied.
The driver passed through Joseph and I pushing us out of his way.
"Everyone, we must walk, get your luggage and board off the train." He yelled.
Everyone started boarding off the train and I quickly ran to get my luggage from the cabinet above where I was sitting. I pushed it open but couldn't reach it.
"Do you need help?" Joseph asked.
Startled not knowing anyone was behind me I quickly tripped over my long dress. Joseph caught my fall by placing his hands over my waist, the suitcase fell hitting Joseph's head.
Joseph looked at me as his eyes pierced through my eyes, it seemed as if his eyes were looking through me.
"Ow" he stated. Joseph lifted me up.
"Are you alright." I asked.
Joseph placed his hand on his head where the suitcase had hit him.
"Are you sure your alright?" I asked.
"Yes, I'm fine, really." He stated.
"Let me see." I demanded. I quickly grabbed his hand that was placed over his head, trying to remove my hand from his head Joseph quickly pulled away.
"Don't make me do something I might regret. I don't need to be worried by you or any woman." He said, angrily.
"Please" I asked.
I ripped the end of my pink dress and started walking towards him and he walked further away from me.
"Damn it" he said.
I noticed that he couldn't walk anywhere else because he was at a dead end with a door in front of him that led to the drivers place.
He turned around facing me.
"Why are you so afraid?" I asked.
"Here, hand me the bandage." He demanded.
I handed it to him. He quickly tied the bandage around the top of his head and it looked as if he were wearing a bonnet.
I started laughing.
"Lets leave." He stated, angrily.
He quickly grabbed my suitcase and we headed off of the train.
All the people were gone, they must of went without us.
We both started walking towards sunset following the train tracks in its place. We walked until dusk. In the darkness, just the two of us. Joseph and I.
