Joseph

It was pitch black where no lights were to be seen. Where exactly are we going?

I glanced at Sarah who was walking right next to me in the darkness. Her pink fluffy gown could light up the whole forest with how bright it was.

I laughed at the thought.

"What are you laughing about?" Sarah asked coldly.

"Me? I wasn't laughing." I assured her.

"Then what were you doing then?" She said while stopping in her footprints.

I looked at her and said "Do you really want to ask that question in the darkness where any type of serial killer could pop up out of nowhere?" I asked.

Sarah turned in front of her and started walking again while crossing her arms.

"I didn't think so." I blurted out.

Sarah examined her suitcase that I held in my right hand along with my luggage in my left hand.

"Does your hand hurt?" She asked.

"No, it doesn't." I replied, calmly.

We continued to walk in silence.

I noticed street lights ahead as light was shadowing on the ground.

We both walked quickly towards the street lights.

I looked around and noticed brick houses left and right of us.

I smiled at Sarah and she smiled back at me.

"We made it" I said in excitement.

"Yes, yes we did" she exclaimed.

"Hoy, mate" A man said walking up to me as he tapped me on the shoulder.

I turned around from facing Sarah and looked at the man.

I took off my fake bonnet that was over my head still and tucked in my tuxedo pocket.

I cleared my throat.

I examined the old man he was wearing a black hat and had a suit on with round shaped glasses as well as a pipe in his mouth.

He was from the train we rode.

"Where's the other people from the train besides you?" I asked.

"Ah, them. They are dead, I killed them a while ago." he said laughing like a lunatic.

I didn't believe him but asked to make sure.

"Are they really dead?" I asked dumbfounded and confused.

"No, they aren't young man, come with me." He said.

Sarah and I both followed the old man.

"Names Timothy Duncan" he said.

"I'm Joseph and here is Sarah" I replied.

The old man led us to one of the town squares houses.

Timothy opened the door and held it open for us to enter.

I looked at Sarah and gave her a wink.

"Ladies first." I said.

She entered after giving me a look as if I were from another planet.

She lifted her dress with her to hands and entered the house.

I entered next and Timothy after.
