"I'm so hungry." The huge black wolf snarled as he walked through the early winter forest. He glanced around at the dead grey trees an the bright orange, yellow and red leaves on the ground that crunched under his enormous paws.
He continued to make his way around the forest, looking for something to eat but found nothing. As he continued to walk around, he found squirrels and rabbits who were late hibernators, he guessed, which he ran after but they just missed his huge jaw by a whisker. It angered him to no extent for if he was a little healthier and full of energy, he could of out ran the pesky rodents easy.
"Stupid hunger, stupid animals, stupid forest, stupid seasons. Stupid fucking life!" He yelled out, digging his claws into the soften dirt and dry leaves.
"Lalalaaaa~"
A sweet soft voice caught his attention which made his head snap around towards it. There, among the grey tree trunks, was a little girl skipping down the well-worn dirt road while singing to herself. She wore a bright blood red cape with a hood that was on her head along with a dress that was a darker red than her hooded-cape along with white stockings and black shiny shoes. Her skin was a lively tan while her cheeks and nose were dusted a slight pink from the cold. Her eyes were a light powdered blue and her hair was black and curly for it curled out of her hood and on the sides of her face. She was holding a basket full of warm, delicious food. Ham, chicken, apples, cake, orange juice.... It went on and on which what he wondered how all that food fit in that tiny little basket that a three year old carried.
He didn't ponder this long for his mind went back to the food and the girl walking by for... he could smell them and just how delicious they were.
It made his stomach growl and his mouth water. It wasn't just the food that was making him hungry.
It was the little girl.
Right when he was about to lung at his pray, there was a interruption in his plan.
"Little Red! Wait! You forgot the two loafs of bread your grandmother ordered." A woman who was in a plain tan and white dress jogged then stopped in front of the little girl, who was so called Little Red. "Don't want to show up there without everything she asked for, right Little Red?" The lady giggled as she opens the basket and placed the two loafs of bread in the tiny basket which actually fit perfectly.
Little Red shook her head. "No ma'am." She said respectfully.
The lady patted her hooded head softly. "Good girl. Now, run along. Remember: don't talk to strangers, make it to your grandmother before dark and beware the wolf." She lectured while the little girl simply nodded.
The wolf growled beneath his breath. "Bitch..." He snarled as she turned and walked back down the road, leaving Little Red all alone.
Little Red stood there for a moment longer, looking off towards the way the lady disappear too before she turned back around and started on her way again.
He watched her sing as she walked down the dirt road. While he watched her, he followed her like the predator he was, taking in everything he could about his soon-to-be meal.
For a couple of yards, he stalked his pray like a shadow, just waiting till the time was right.
Finally, when the journey was half way through, the wolf decided to approach her like a gentleman.
"Show time...." He smirked, baring his ivory fangs with ease.
