Weak from battle, Frisk pleaded Asriel to stop. The goat stared down at them, bellowing in laughter, "You're funny! You think you can win? Just give up already!" His hands glowed, firing another multi-colored blast at the human child. The human yelped as the blast hit them square in the chest, causing them to fling backwards.

Their body ached. Everything hurt. They wanted it to stop. They wanted Asriel to stop, so they can all go to the surface and live happily. Why was it so hard? With crimson blood dripping from their now busted lip, they spared him again. Asriel stared at them with much confusion, "Stop it." He hissed.
Another spare.
"Stop! You're supposed to kill me, you idiot!"
Another spare.
"Stop!! Just stop!!!"
Spare.
"Die! Just die already!"
Spare..
"Please.."
Spare.

Asriel got angry, bringing his hands up, they glowed brightly. Frisk was scared, but they kept calling out to his soul, attempting to free him from these strings of hatred. The monster blasted them again with all their power.
"Stoooooooooooop!!!"

Frisk fell back, landing on their side. So much blood. So weak, but they couldn't give up. They just couldn't. They continued to spare Asriel.

Eventually, after a long battle, he gave in. Tears made their way down his fluffy fur, and everything faded to black.

Frisk was awoken by someone shaking them and someone calling them, "Chara! Get up!"
Chara?
"Wake up! Please!"
Who's Chara?
"I'm sorry, okay? Now wake up! Please!"
Nevermind the name, the voice, it sounded so familiar.
"Don't leave me a second time. Please. You're my best friend. I need you back.."

The brunette slowly awoke, hissing in pain, they felt their body, gasping. It felt like their body was on fire. They stared down at their hand. It was covered in blood. Their shirt was ripped, a bit of their skin was visible, but there was a large deep wound in it. They stared down at the golden flowers beneath them. They were decorated with spots of blood. Shame. They were very pretty flowers. They turned their attention to a small goat child, crying his eyes out.

Frisk slowly reached out, touching his hand. He flinched, then removed his hands from his face. His soft, friendly brown eyes were now all red and puffy from the salty tears. He was shaking like a small puppy who has been left out in the rain. He reached out as well, grasping Frisk's smaller hand. He hiccuped, "Chara," he started, "I-I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I hurt you. I hurt everyone. I'm a horrible beast." He sniffled. The human child only smiled, scooting close to the monster child and hugging him. He wheezed softly, crying more. The two stayed like that for a while.

Then, Frisk's body felt numb. So numb. They heard Asriel gasp in horror, and they looked down. They noticed their body was slowly fading away. They were dying. Their body was dying. They looked into Asriel's eyes, using their small hands to communicate, 'It's okay, Asriel. I'm gonna be okay.' They tried to reassure him.

Asriel was hyperventilating now, he didn't know what to do, "Ch-Chara..!" He was shaking. He was going to lose his best friend again. No. Wait. He got a good look at the human, or at least tried to through the tears in his eyes. This wasn't Chara.

"Who..are y-you?" He stuttered.

Frisk used their hands once again, 'I'm Frisk.'

Asriel smiled weakly, "Frisk, heh, no wonder. You and Chara, look so much alike. Except they were more..well, violent than you, but what do we do now?" He asked.

Frisk's body continued to vanish little by little as they spoke. They shrugged, 'I guess we wait.'

Asriel's eyes widen, "Wait?? We wait?? You're about to die, though! You have to get help! Please, Frisk! You can't die!" He pleaded. Frisk tried to laugh, but ended up coughing up blood. The thick liquid splattered into their hand and the other's sweater. Asriel didn't seem to mind. The two hugged again.
