Derek's pov.
I woke up the next morning to the sound of dance with me tonight playing, I know it was cheesy and stupid but I couldn't help but set it as my alarm tone the night before. I rolled over and saw one of the most beautiful faces I'd ever seen, she was dead asleep, not giving a care about anything yet looking like a goddess. I ran my hand through her hair a couple times, but couldn't even get her to open her eyes for a slight second. So instead I kissed her nose and decided to get up and ready. I felt bad that I have to leave Rosie in a couple days when the press your starts but I know she'll be in great hands. The little girl from next door absolutely loved my puppy and her mom was the sweetest, they were always happy to watch Rosie for me, and in return id give little Jayda dance lessons, which were usually just her trying to teach me instead, but it was so cute. I'd have to remember to bring her a couple souvenirs from wherever we went too, she'd love that.

After a hot shower I walk into my closet and try to find something to wear, it feels like it takes forever for me to decide which is weird because usually I just grab something and go. I decide to go simple, white tee, holey jeans, a flannel and some black chucks, needless to say, I was feeling a bit throwbackish. I grab my things and head out, but not without one last look in the mirror to make sure I look okay. What's happening to me? I don't usually care this much about how I look. Like a loser, I give myself a nod of approval and finally leave the house. I glance at the time as I make my way into my car and realize I'm thirty minutes earlier than usual, this is a new first for me, I'm usually right on time. Ugh, calm down Derek, it's just a dance rehearsal, but one with her. I decide to stop by my favorite donut shop on my way to the studio. Good thing I had time to waste because the line was long but the donuts would be well worth it. I grab half a dozen donuts and an orange juice for me, I was never too into coffee so good ol orange juice was my morning drink of choice. I didn't have a clue as to what Arielle liked to drink so I bought her a coke, a water and an orange juice, just in case. I head to the studio, still 10 minutes early but oh well. When I pull in I can't help but notice that I wasn't the only early one. Sitting on the steps of the studio entrance sat that beautiful girl I couldn't get out of my head. Her long dark curls were pulled into a messy bun today, as her head hung low her eyes focused on the book in her lap, could she get anymore adorable?

Arielle's Pov.
The flight from Texas to LA actually went pretty well compared to previous experiences, I actually got to sleep a little and catch up on writing my book. When I landed the first thing I did was rent a car and find the Walmart closest to my hotel, I was craving sugar cookies, the fakey kind that have icing and sprinkles and were at nearly every school party ever, yeah, they were fakey but I was addicted none the less. After stocking up on cookies, I grabbed a couple essentials and made my way to the registers. It was almost 12 in the morning by now so barely anyone was in the store and only two lanes were open but it didn't matter, there were only a couple of people in line anyways. I jumped in line where a sweet looking old lady was cashiering, when it was my turn to pay she gave me the hugest most warm smile and asks "Aren't you that girl from dancing with the stars?" I immediately blush, being recognized was the weirdest thing in the world. "Yeah, that was me." I say shyly and embarrassed. "Oh my my, I knew it. You were wonderful sweetie. And isn't that Derek just a hunk? You are one lucky girl. Wow, I can't believe it, a star coming through my line. It is so nice to meet you." She spills all at once, not even giving me a chance to speak. I'm speechless at first, then I manage to say thank you and finish paying for my items. I leave the store as fast as I can and head to my hotel for the night where I can go unnoticed and pig out on sugar cookies and watch Grey's anatomy.

I had made sure to set my alarm extra early so I had time to relax and think a bit before I had to go rehearse. I was beyond nervous. What if I didn't remember the dance? Or I wasn't good enough? What If I do something stupid like fall in front of Derek? Why did I agree to this again? Before I could overthink everything and change my mind I got out of bed and started to get ready. I had already picked out my outfit the night before, something I often did. I had decided on ripped skinny jeans, a white v neck, a red flannel and black converse. I didn't even bother doing my hair, I knew it would get messy and hot with all the dancing I'd be doing so I threw it up into a messy bun instead. I skipped doing full makeup since I knew it would just melt off anyways and opted for just a little mascara and lip gloss. My long eyelashes were one of my favorite things about myself, and they seemed to really pop today which made me beyond happy. When I was finished, I grabbed my purse and my old copy of the outsiders and headed out. I made it to the studio with 25 minutes to spare so I sat on the steps of the entrance and read for a while. I must have been deep into reading because I didn't even notice Derek walk up to me. "Good book?" He asked, after the initial shock, I looked up to see him, arms full with a huge grin on his face. His pearly whites shined brighter than my future they were so perfect, oh my lord. I suddenly realized I was still sitting here like a loser, book in hand staring at him. "Uh, yeah. The outsiders." I finally seem to stumble out, sounding like a complete dork.

Derek's Pov.
"I love the outsiders, it's a classic." I lie, trying to impress her. Really I had only seen the movie once when I was in like the eighth grade but she didn't need to know that. She gets up and steps towards me, which confuses me a little until she grabs a couple bags from my hands, I can't believe I let her do that, she's a lady, she shouldn't be carrying my things, I'm an idiot. "You really didn't have to do that." I say, sounding a bit harsher than I should have but she responds sweetly with a "It's fine, I really don't mind." And makes her way up the steps and towards the door. I unlock the studio that we had to ourselves for the next 6 hours and hold the door for her to come in. She passes by and a says a faint thanks. As she walks in I notice what she's wearing and can't help but chuckle. She stares back at me with a confused look on her face and all I can get out is "We're twinning." She bursts into laughter and I can already tell this is going to be a fun rehearsal.
