She sat there on their swing set, alone, for almost two hours. She didn't expect anybody to talk to her, she didn't want anybody to talk to her, but she still felt completely and utterly alone.

He was all that she ever thought about anymore. Do I love him? Does he even still love me? I wonder what he looks like without that shirt. It was a problem and she knew it. She also knew now that she really did love him.

Even though she came to the conclusion, it didn't motivate her to act upon her desires.

She eventually, got off of the tortuous swing set that was pumped with memories of her and her favorite mystery writer. She got up in a daze and started to wander toward her car.

Thoughts like Why had I been so stupid? were still flying through her mind, not letting her take over. She had gotten to the sidewalk but still wasn't paying attention. She started to cross the street without realizing it.

She tripped on the curb and fell. Hard. Luckily, she was only just off of the curb so she was able to get back into the sidewalk with ease. Unfortunately, she was in tremendous pain.

She called Lanie and told her what happened, knowing that she wouldn't be able to move. She sat awkwardly on the curb. Her best friend came to her rescue in no time. But there was still pain.

And not all of it was from her ankle.
