Maya's POV
That morning i woke up to unfamiliar surroundings. My head pounded heavily as i tried to remember last night's events
My eyes spun around as I spotted someone familiar. Riley.
"Riles." I croaked.
"Yes peaches?" Riley replied.
"Do you have any aspirin? I have a killer headache. "
"The aspirin is in the medicine cupboard. Find it yourself. 8 am is too early to be up on a Saturday morning. " with that, riley turned around and went back to sleep, giving a cute little snore at the same time.
I groaned loudly and clutched my head, groping about to find the medicine cupboard. I hit someone. Hard. I felt his six packs under the short he was wearing.
"Watch it!" I grumbled.
"Maya?" I'd know that voice anywhere.
"Josh?"
"Yep it's me. What are you looking for?" I decided to trust Josh.
"Aspirin. For my head. " I replied
"Just go sit down on the couch I'll find it for you. " Made my way to the couch with a struggle. Josh soon came and gave me the aspirin along with a glass of warm water.
After I ate my aspirin and gulped down my water, there was an awkward silence.
"So... How did you get drunk?" Josh asked.
"Straight to the point huh?" I retorted.
"I went to a party cause my father left. Again. I needed to escape all my troubles and alcohol was the first thing I thought of. " I shrugged it off like it was nothing.
"You could have gotten raped! Or woken up in an unknown place!" He said angrily, his fists tightly clenched together.
"Well, good thing I brought Riley then. If that's all you wanted to know, I'm gonna go back to sleep " I said, before walking off.
"Wait Maya. I think it's time. I have to tell you something. "
Josh's voice caught me off balance, I turned around and asked him.
"What?"
"I...I like you Maya
