There I was. Standing face to face with my pursuers in a narrow and dark alley. My heart pounding inside my chest. Small rivulets of sweat forming on my forehead. My pursuers had me at gunpoint. My mind could only reminisce my life leading up to this point. I guess that was what the body did seconds before certain death.

I was riding my amethyst-coloured bicycle. The breeze blowing away at my chocolate skin. My gold necklace swaying in the wind. I even played music whilst I rode my bike to accompany the scene, sort of like a music video. And little did I know I was silently being stalked.

As I continued down the lonely and quiet street, an eerie feeling crept into my mind. Surely enough I discovered why I was feeling this way. As I turned my head to look behind me, I saw a black car with tinted windows. The car looked like the type of mobster cars you'd see in movies. This strange car seemed to mimic my bicycle speed. I slowed down, it did the same. I sped up and it also did the same. I was starting to become paranoid that maybe the people in the were indeed mobsters.

I pedaled fast in an attempt to lose the goons in that vehicle. The tactic was to use as many turns as possible since there were likely to miss them due to the high speed of the car. My only worry was how practical this idea would be. I could only find out.

I stopped this brief thinking and got back to reality. I looked back to see my pursuers tailgating me. The first turn was on my right. I pushed my legs harder and leaned hard into the turn. The following car barely missing me. I felt the strong breeze as it sped straight down the street. My idea has seemed to work. My pursuers had no idea what hit them. As I cycled with less speed, I heard the screech of tires on the road which I had just turn off from. Those goons were not gonna give so easily. I figured I should hit the next turn to lose them for good. I calmly turned to my left. As I just entered the road, I saw a chilling sight. My pursuers were waiting for me at the end of the road. They must have guessed I was gonna try to use that road to lose them. They guessed it. I squeezed the brakes and immediately came to stop. I put my foot down to the road. I stared daringly at this menacing car, not even thinking of blinking. The car revved its engine as well. This was going to be a showdown.

At the corner of my eye, i caught sight of a narrow alley to my right. I knew my escape route. i hooped onto my bike and accelerated straight for the alleyway. The black car also picking up speed toward the exit. I zoomed into the alley, looking back i saw the car drifting to a stop just outside the alley. Those thugs must of known that their ride would not fit through the slim opening. I smiled smugly at the car and turned my head, looking forward I regretted that smile because victory seemed to have been grabbed from the palms of my hand. I clutched the brakes. Standing tall in front of me was a brick wall. Dead end was the word which came to mind. Great, I was stuck. I looked around frantically for any other options but my efforts were left unrewarded.

I turned my back to the wall and saw the windows of the car swing open. Standing before me were two beefy looking, six foot men dressed in suits and matching sapphire hats. I was right, these two guys were mobsters. My eyes went wide, for one of them pulled out a pistol from his holster clasped onto his belt hiding under his blazer. They both walked towards me in unison. They stopped abruptly and the armed one held out the pistol towards his target. That target being me.

This is the scene where it all lead up to. I pressed my back against the wall, waiting for my pursuers to kill me in cold blood. The armed mobster pulled the trigger and...well nothing happened. He clicked at his gun a few more times in frustration and still nothing happened. He looked at his weapon in fury and diverted his eyes at me. Rage showed from his icy blue eyes. He hurled his weapon and me and charged. My frozen body managed to duck out of the way. As those two goons charged towards me like angry bulls, I desperately thought of a way out of this scary situation. An idea instantly hit my brain. It was tricky but with perfect timing, it would get out of there. Bad timing and I was dead. Timing was crucial.

As those two mobster were in hands reach of me, I leaped from one foot and planted the other one onto the hat of the other goon. As he raised his arms to try and grab my foot, i leaped off in time and backward somersaulted, landing on the top of the brick wall! Those two goons crashing into the wall in the same instant, dropping to the ground with a sickening thud. Laying on the ground unconscious.

I diverted my eyes to the sunset ahead. Standing in a bold posture similar to what Superman does when he has defeated an evil villain. The orange sun rays complementing this scene in all sorts of perfect ways. I felt victorious. Nothing would stand in my way. I guess those goons must have wanted my gold neck lace. But who cares, they had lost and I had won.

I had lived to die another day.
