Thank You, Mr. Cadaver

Gratitude is all we can give,
from the heart,
through your teachings others will live;
your end marks a million starts!

Drunk in and out,
in formalin so vexatious,
I hope your soul finds the paradise route,
for your body has found a purpose gracious.

Thank you for laying here still,
making nothing speak more than anything,
remember you forever, we will,
saving lives; to your smithereens, justice we will bring!

Note: Cadavers, soaked in formalin, in and out, embalmed, ready to undergo dissection. A thousand questions rush past the mind when one sees a cadaver for the first time, a rush of emotion coupled with awe and questions like 'are we really gonna dissect her/him inside out and how?' One cannot help but wonder about all the good and bad times the person had gone through when he was alive. Life is a large manifestation of small microsystems working in synchrony. A cadaver not just teaches one anatomy but also respect, living or dead, friend or foe who teaches you something worthwhile.
