-Jane-
As I stood before a door, I looked down at my schedule.
ENGLISH STEPHANIE MARIN ROOM 724
I glanced back up at the door plaque, where the same information was. I sighed and I pushed open the door. A group of girls (AKA the stupid people that follow me everywhere) squealed and as soon as I sat down, skidded into the seats surrounding me, each fighting each other for the seats closest to me. I rolled my eyes and smiled.
"English? Please, this is more like naptime." I said, and the girls around me laughed loudly. God, they are annoying. "Hey nerd, think you can do my homework? 'Cuz, I mean, that's what nerds do right?" I asked a boy sitting a few rows over, his face buried in a book. He looked up at me. I gasped slightly when I saw him. It was Jamie... but I continued to talk.
"Well nerdling? Are you going to or not? And trust me, I would highly suggest you would." I narrowed my eyes at him. Jamie's eyes looked at me with a mixture of sadness.
"What happened to you Jay Jay?" He said. I hissed slightly under my breath.
"I though I told you years ago to NEVER CALL ME THAT!" The girls around me glared daggers at him, and he moved back a little.
"Fine. Jane I'll do your homework."I smiled at him.
"I would say thank you, but since you are a nerd and therefore should already do that, I won't."I smiled sweetly at him while the IG (Idiotic Girls) snickered. Hurt flashed through his face, but I didn't relent.
"I'd suggest that you get my answers right, or else, who know what I might do to you? Keep in mind, I am the ruler here, and I can do what ever I'd like." He frowned and glared at me.
"What happened to you?" He whispered, looking at me. The IG's looked at me.
"Why do YOU want to know?" One of them said. I flinched slightly at the sound of her voice. God, I hate Miranda, her voice is so high and squeaky, and she has so many plastic surgeries, I don't think one single part of her is natural.
"IN FACT, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO EVEN SPEAK TO HER!" Another said. I ground my teeth, and was about to say that that was enough, but the jocks started talking before me.
"What are you doing back here anyway nerdling? Shouldn't you be upfront reading your textbook?" One of the jocks said, and shoved Jamie. He stumbled and fell out of his chair, and Drew took his place, and picked up Jamie's glasses.
"Hey look everyone! I"M A NERDLING! The square root of 144 is 13!" Drew and the other jocks laughed. "Opps!" Drew said in a fake voice, and he dropped Jamies glasses, then proceeded to step on them. Jamie gasped and ran over to pick up the shards of his broken glasses. Drew laughed, then everybody else in the classroom followed. The IG glanced over at me, and so I fake laughed, then, since I was laughing, all the other IG's laughed along with the jocks.
We stopped laughing as soon as Ms. Marin came in. I smiled sweetly, and she returned the smile. The IG's laughed as Drew pulled out a tiny pillow and put it on his desk, and proceeded to fake snore very loudly. Ms. Marin turned her back to him, and continued in a louder voice. So, of course, Drew snores louder. I snicker, so everyone else does. Ms. Marin turns around and looks at me. I fall silent right before and look as though I am paying attention. I try to look interested.
So she sighs and turns back around and then the bell rings. I sigh with reilef. I grab my stuff and leave, and head towards my locker. Once I get there, someone else comes later, but I am not paying attention. Then I close my locker and I see who is next to me.
It's Laden...
He looks over at me and frowns. I continue to ignore him, and start to walk down the halls, but then someone grabs my arm. I turn around and see Laden's clear green eyes staring back at me. He frowned.
"What happened in english?" I scoffed.
"Nothing that you should care about." I walked away, leaving Ladon there, staring at me with hurt eyes. And in my heart, I felt guilty....
for the first time
ever.
