Deidara came to dinner. He was usually invited once a week by Leila. He was such a nice young man in her eyes. Yes he was single and had pickup truck and he owned a ninja crotch rocker. Leila never judged someone by what they drove or weather they were in a relationship or not, but by his heart. He was a good man

Tobi always had a good time when Deidara would come to dinner. He would laugh and joke with Obito and tease Tobi about girls. Tobi always took it lightly. Usually on these occasions Deidara would ask to take the boys somewhere. It could be a baseball game, a movie, fishing, hang out at the mall or camping. Tobi hated to camp but loved being around Deidara.

On this occasion it was a drive up in the mountains. Obito declined saying he going to a water park with some friend's for a birthday party. Tobi was beaming on the inside. Deidara had no idea why." We'll take my bike then. It will be fun." He side to Tobi who nodded early. Yes it would be fun to sit with his arms wrapped around his crush.

They finished dinner with Deidara having an after dinner drink with Leila and Jack. Tobi would usually sit on the couch and listen to his father and Deidara talk about work. Jack was Chief of the Police. Deidara
Was a lad technician for a crime lad. Tobi's after and Deidara worked closely at times on homicide cases. Deidara was working his way up becoming a forensic scientist. He was only three months away from his first field experience.

Tobi admired him for it. Deidara's father had left when he was a baby and his mother died when he was twenty in a car accident. A life insurance policy lefl for him by his mom paid off the house and paid for her burial but not much else. He had gotten odd jobs during the night  while he went to college in the day. Leila had made him home cooked meals and kept him from collapsing on some of his all-nighters.

He had been grateful to the Uchiha's. Jack had funded his college tuition to see him make something of himself. He has paid it back not too long ago. Tobi was a grateful too, it ketp Deidara coming around and he wanted to see Deidara as much as he possibly could. He might be only sixteen bit he knew what he wanted and one way or another he was going to get it.

He couldn't wait until Saturday. He and Deidara would be alone just the two of them, on a bike going up to the mountains with no interruptions. He went to bed that night with all sorts of things involving Deidara on his mind. He knew this was not going to end well. He would most likely end up with messy sheets by morning. He knew his mom knew bit she was too polit to say anything. Thank god she didn't know the reason.

He went though school the next day in a fog. His brain was kaput. Gaara,Hidan and Itachi we're privy to his crush. Gaara told him he was too young. Itachi told him he needed and Hidan said go for it. He liked Hidan's idea. Hidan too had a crush on an older guy. He of course had told his crush how he felt. Nothing was happening between them yet.

Gaara swore he was not crushing on a red head that lived in his neighborhood,  stating that it was pedophilic. He was crushing and they all knew it. Itachi was a little harder to figure out. He had an older guy friend thanks to their older cousin Madara. He liked the guy but he didn't seem like he was crushing on him. Maybe he was really against it.

It was Friday and the day seemed to gray as much as possible.  Even if he got through the day he still had to get through the night. He signed in irritation. Danm time. He wished he could seep up time somehow and then he could be with Deidara. He smiled as he thought about his sexy neighbor.  All the times that Deidara would take off his shirr and do yard work worth every second of staring.

He finally looked up when Gaara poked him in the shoulder. " Are you thinking about him again?" He asked suspiciously. Tobi gave him a blank look. Of course he was thinking about him. He just didn't want to say that yi hud best friend who had an annoyed look on his face. "No, I was thinking about our test coming up." He lied smoothly. Gaara  scoffed. "Why would you think about that? You know you will ace it. It is the rest of us who should worry." He said skeptically

Toni nodded and shrugged. Gaara was right. Tobi was a bit genius and he never failed a test.
He turned to put away the book he was holding. They were in the library and he was having a hard time concentrating on getting a book for his report when all he could think was Deidara. Stupid teenaged hormones. He sighed and left thus isle he was in. Gaara was close on his heels.

Gaara began babbling about the book he found to do his report on. Tobi tuned him out as he went back to his thoughts of Deidara. This day was torture. Finally when there was two minutes left of class he grabbed a random book from s shelf and checked it out with the librarian. He didn't even know what the title was much less what it was about.  He really didn't care.

Last hour finally came. Tobi  packed up his stuff and headed out the door.  Madara was there to pick him and Obito up ad usual. Madara worked near the school and got off work when school let out. It was a convenience that Leila was happy with. Madara dropped them off at their house and drove home to his apartment. Toni stood in the driveway watching Deidara's house wondering if he was home from work yet.

"Tobi come inside, I need to tell you something." Leila called. Tobi sighed and turned to go into the house. "Deidara asked if you could spend the high tonight so you and he could leave early I'm the morning without waking anyone.  Does that sound okay?" Leila asked. Does that sound okay? Toni was instantly in a better mood. "Yeah I guess that will work." He said casually. Leila smiled. "Great! I made a casserole for your dinner, all you have to do is heat it. Take it to Deidara when you are ready to go over." She said.

Tobi hugged his mom. She was a little surprised but she hugged him back. Moments like this were rare. He turned and went upstairs to get his clothes and toothbrush. Twenty minutes later he was walking out the door to go to Deidara's. He rang the doorbell and Deidara answer the door, shirtless. Tobi almost dropped the casserole on the porch. Deidara grabbed it and laughed." Whoa,  I don't think your mom wants me to return a busted dish." He winked at Tobi and Tobi's heart skipped a beat.

Deidara placed the casserole in the oven and went to put a shirt on. Tobi was disappointed. All through dinner they talked about Deidara's work and Tobi's friends. Tobi was at ease. After dinner they went into the living room to watch a little TV. Tobi sat on the couch with Deidara but he was at one end while Deidara sat at the other. He would have given anything yo be curled up in Deidara's arms. He barely knew what was happening with the show. His mind was on the man next to his usual.

When it was time to go to bed, he changed into his sleep shirt and brushed his teeth. It shimmered in the soft lighting of the house. Deidara have him a big smiles when he came out if the bathroom. He returned it. He wondered if that smile was a 'Wow you look good' smile or an 'Aww, you are such s cute kud' smile. He hoped it was the first but couldn't help think it was probably the second. He went to bed in the spate room dreamed of him and Deidara being together in every way that was possible.
