Chapter 4, Seeing the Family
When I got off the plane I was a little shaky. I was nervous to see my family again after Brianna died. But the most I am afraid of is some of my younger cousins wouldnt remember me. Like Kayla,Hayley,Randy,Mary, and my Aunt Sally's two step kids Riley and Katie. I was also scared that some of my cousins grew out of me. Like the older ones wouldnt want to hang out and play games together like we used to.
I caught a glimpse of my dad's oldest brother; Uncle Barly. I ran over to them and when I approched I saw his wife;my Aunt Karen standing next to him with Greg holding her hand and Jackie and Oscar standing behind.
"Hey there darlin' nice to see you again." Barly said with his deep voice.
"Uncle Barly!" I smiled and gave him a huge hug. I looked over at Karen who was smiling wide at me. "Aunt Karen!" I said loudly and gave her a big hug too.
"Hey Nat attack." Oscar smiled down at me.
"Oscar." I smiled and hugged him as well. "You grew a few inches." I laughed.
He nodded. "You bet I did." He smiled proudly.
Then I saw Jackie. She looked so different. With her long brown hair and deep brown eyes. "Jackie? Is that you?"
She nodded and pulled me into a hug. "Hey thereold thing, you havent changed a bit have ya?"
"Greg, this is Natalia, remember her?" Karen whispered to Greg.
He nodded and smiled up at me. He was a shy little guy, it would take him a while to warm up to people. "Hi Greg, its nice to see you." I said crouching down. He looked down shyly.
"He'll warm up to you honey bun, just gotta give him a few hours." Karen said encourganly. I nodded as we walked to the lagadge pick up to get my suit case.

We pulled up to the oh so familiar farm my Uncle Barly owned. I smiled looking out the window to see miles and miles of corn stalks growing from the ground. We had so many good memories here. I wish I could take them all back.
"Well here we are." Barly smiled and parked his truck on his dirt driveway. We all got out as Oscar took my bag and lead me inside. When he opened the squeaky old door and we entered the kitchen I had to hold back some tears. Me, Brianna, and Jackie used to help cook fresh grown veggies and meals for the whole family in this very kitchen. We even taught Aunt Sherly's daughter, Maria a few things too and she would help cook as well. Oscar led me up to the spair bedroom where I always stayed when I slept over here. I smiled at the wooden bunkc beds me and Brianna used to sleep on together.
"Here we are, your sleeping courters." Oscar said and put down my suitcase.
"Thanks Oscar, is the family coming over today?" I asked looking at the new painting that hung from the wall.
"Well of course Nat, they are all comin' to see you." He nudged then walked out.
I turned around to see Jackie at the door way. "Ive missed you." She smiled and sat on the bed.
"Ive missed you to Jackie. I wish my mom would just let us move back. I think she is afraid of too many memories you know?" I sat down next to her.
"Yeah Nat, I know. We still have memories of your dad and Brianna all over here. It took us a while to get used to it. But we grew towards the fact that they werent comin' back. Its life; what are you gonna do?" She shrugged her shoulders.
"But she is still grieving and no matter what I do; I cant make her feel better. Everything I do just makes everything worse. Im starting to think she needs someone older to comfort her. and thats why she needs to come back here. And be near her brother and the twins. It would be good for her."
