Part 3 - We Meet Again

"Please! Just let me go!" you beg although it's completely useless. The bandit's have taken you to one of there main camps, throwing you into a large abandoned room and tying you securely to a pipe in the wall. Feeling completely hopeless, you collapse down on your knees, tears filling your eyes.

"Where is the case, tiny human!!" one of them asks, getting uncomfortably close to your face. You turn away and stare off in another direction remaining completely silent. Within seconds, you hear the sound of all of the bandits clearing out of the room which forces you to look in the direction. One bandit dressed in different gear than the others has instructed them to exit, leaving just you and him alone. It is clear that he must be the leader, nerves taking over from what he might do. With every step he takes towards you, your heart rate increases. You tuck your knees to your chest when he is standing right in front of you, eyes glued to your lap instead of on him. Hearing the sound of a knife being pulled out, the tears you were managing to hold back have now come loose. This time with a knife in his hand, the question of where you hid the case is brought up again. Knowing full well he would most likely kill you anyways regardless of telling him, you choose to remain silent. Forcing your hand away from your lap, the bandit slices deep into your palm causing you to cry out in pain. He keeps a hold of your hand, re-stating his question. Feeling the blood running down the length of your arm, the burning sensation becomes unbearable when he presses the knife into you again.

"OK OK. STOP, PLEASE! I'll tell you.." you give in, clutching your hand in a tight fist to stop the blood once he releases his grip. Opening your mouth to reveal the cases location, you are cut off by Zer0 crashing threw the wall. The bandit doesn't even have to to react before being tackled to the ground. With one swift movement, Zer0 snaps his neck leaving him laying lifeless on the floor. Turning to examine you, you beam at him through tears, amazed that he came for you.

"Are you okay?" he asks, quickly moving to cut you loose.

"I am now" you reply, still squeezing your fist to constrict the wound. Now that you are free, Zer0 helps you up so that you are standing on your feet.

"We have to leave quickly" he instruct. Nodding your head in agreement, you both barely manage to move an inch before the door bursts open, dozens of bandits staring from the other side. A mad face lights up across Zer0's screen as he turns to face them. Moving you behind him, he pulls out a sword ready to face them all. Charging forwards, Zer0 manages to slice them one after the other, blood and bodies piling everywhere. Looking to the left of the room, you notice a larger bandit pulling out a metal spear launcher.

"Zer0! Watch out!" you shout, trying to warn him. Distracted by the bandits in front of him, he is too late to move. The spear passes directly through him, skewing him to the wall. Crying out from the sight, you collapse on the floor completely horrified. The bandits around the room freeze at the sight of you breaking down. You watch through tear filled eyes as Zer0 slowly turns his head in your direction.

"Don't cry" he speaks softly, a sad face now on his screen. You could have sworn that he sounded almost human instead of his normal robotic like tone. Still keeping his attention on you, your eyes widen in shock from what happens next. Zer0's entire body fades out making him semi-invisible and almost impossible to see. Moving slowly, he emerges from out of the metal spear only to fade back into sight again. The bandits are just as shocked as you are, completely unable to move from both the strange sight and fear. Running towards Zer0, you place your hands on both of his shoulders, staring him up and down to make sure he is okay. To your surprise, there isn't even a single scratch on him. You look up at him amazed and relieved he is okay. Wanting so badly to hug him, you are disappointed when he steps away to finish the job he started. Feeling confident in him this time, you are able to watch with ease as he ends the lives of each and every one of them.

"I think you got them all" you say when he finishes, staring at the back of him while he puts his sword away. Turning around to face you, you both stare at each other for awhile before moving. Being the first to take a step, you slowly approach and close the space between you two.

"How did you know i was here?" you ask, curious how he was able to find you in the first place.

"Your friend's told me what happened" he tells you.

"Oh... so they begged you to come find me?" you ask, trying to hide the disappointment you feel inside.

"I came here because i wanted to" he corrects, making your heart skip a beat. The edge of your mouth twitches up into a smile from his words. Without thinking, you move to wrap your arms around him pulling him into a strong hug.

"Thank you" you say, resting your head against his chest. You feel the tension in his body fade when he returns the hug, moving to gently wrap his arms around your waist.
