Putting my car in park in the school parking lot, I pulled down my visor to check myself out just one last time before heading into school. Since the first step to my master plan was to look hot as hell, I was wearing one of my favorite outfits. A pair of black skinny jeans, and my tightest white deep V-neck long sleeve and a pair of dark brown riding boots. It was simple; trust me I know, but it would do just the job. Plus, I spent extra time on giving myself big loose curls today, with a pretty natural makeup look.

As I got out of my car, I closed the door and looked down at the gold watch I was wearing today to spice it up a bit. From the time on my watch I could tell it was already the middle of second period, I was late to school, as always, but this time it was on purpose. That's step two of my master plan.

Step two: Walk into physics late.

Now here is the problem with walking into school late; Mrs. Wright, the snappy secretary that was always so rude to me. I also could not afford another detention because I was defiantly not going to risk being in a room with Holden again seeing as he is somehow always in detention. So basically, the genius plan is to just walk in one of the side doors, and pray that the security guard doesn't catch me.

I crept along the sides of the building until I got to a side door that was closest to my physics class. I cracked the door open just a tad and peaked in to see if Larry the security guard was anywhere to be found. Right there standing against the wall about five feet from the side door was Larry, our security guard, but my physics class was just two doors away down the hallway he was facing. It was now or never, I had to make a run for it.

So I hid my face with a binder and dashed down the hall all while I could hear Larry yelling

"Stop right there young lady!"

But he was too late, I twisted the physics room door handled and stepped in, closing the door behind me. I let out a sigh of relief and quickly turned around to see the whole class staring at me.

"Uhh, do you have a tardy pass Mrs.Collins?" said Mr. Thomas.

"Nope." I said casually as I walked over to my seat, but before I sat down, I caught Holden staring at me, with his jaw dropped. Just the reaction I was hoping for. As I was about to sit down someone whistled and I whipped my head back to see where it had come from, what I saw was Holden slapping Jakes arm, which Im assuming who the whistle came from.

"Dude, chill." Holden whispered to jake.

"What? Just trying to give a compliment, sheesh."

I turned back around in my seat and had to keep myself from giggling. Even though I was still mad at Holden, I can't lie, that was kind of cute.

"Alright class, let's get back to the lesson, shall we?"

I opened my physics book and turned to the page everyone was looking on to. I couldn't help but stare blankly at the book for a while until I felt like someone was staring at me. Looking across the room, I met Ally's gaze, Oh man, she did not look happy at all.

"After class, Library." She mouthed to me.

All I could do was give her a thumbs up and a small smile, boy this was not going to be easy.

After class I grabbed Ally's hand and dashed to the library before Holden could try to talk to me.

"Okay Sarah, seriously, you have to tell me why you weren't answering my calls yesterday. You seriously had me worried sick! You couldn't have just texted me?!" she have whispered/ yelled and she slapped my arm.

"Ouch! Well that was unnecessary. I'll tell you everything but I have to tell you fast incase Holden finds us here"

"Why would he-"

But I stopped her before she could finish, and I told her everything, starting from the beginning, seeing Holden's Ex in the parking lot, to the end, hearing his mom say those awful things about me and not getting any texts or calls from him.

"Woah... I'm so sorry Sarah. You know his mother was wrong though right? You are beautiful and any guy would be lucky to have you. No matter what your race." Ally finally said with a disappointed look on her face.

"Thanks Ally, and I'm trying to finally accept that. That's why I'm already on step 3 of my master plan."

"Wait, what was step one and 2?" She said with a really confused look on her face.

I giggled at her expression, and answered her

"Well step one was coming to school looking hot as hell"

"Okay, double check to that, I saw Holden gaping at you when you walked in so well done best friend."

"And step two was to walk into school late today, now I'm just working on step three."

"Wait, What's step three?" Ally asked looking real confused once again.

"Im going to ignore Holden Brooks." I said with relief, it was good to finally say it, made it more real to me, like a promise that I knew I couldn't break.

But before the relief could last long, we were interrupted.

"Sarah Collins?"

"Yeah?" I replied without even looking at who it was that said my name. When I finally turned to see who it was, I was shocked.

"You have 2 days of detention for being repeatedly late to school and running from a security guard." It was the security guard, Larry, holding out my detention slip.
Ughhh, not this crap again.
"Wait, how did you know it was me this morning?!" I exclaimed not caring if we were in the library anymore.

"I asked around, a young nice fellow by the name of Holden Brooks gave me your name." and with that the security guard turned away and left the library.

All while Ally and I sat there, with our jaws dropped

In total shock.
