I groan as I stand up from the bed. The light coming from the window is hurting my eyes and I squint all the way to the restroom. I get in the shower without even planning to. I don't feel the hangover at all and I kind of wish I did. It would make me feel more human.

I change into jean shorts with a see- through blouse. As I brush my teeth, I feel a slight pain on the right side of my neck. I look at my reflection in the mirror. My eyes trail my face for a moment. My hazel eyes remind me of Michael so I quickly look away. My eyes land on my neck. I feel my eyes bug out when I see two dots on it.

I touch it and the memories of last night come to me.

A gasp escapes from my mouth and my wolf howls with joy.

"He marked me." I whisper in surprise. "He marked me!" I yell, angry now.

I stalk out of the room and down the stairs.

Jake is eating but looks up when he sees me.

"Where is he?" I ask him, angrily.

He frowns. "Who the Alpha?"

"Where is he?" I repeat impatiently.

"He's outside wi-"

I don't wait for him to finish. I run outside and find Alexander talking to Tony.

"You marked me!" I yell at him.

They both look up and frown at me.

"How dare you?" I ask in disappointment. The tears actually begin to slip from my eyes.

"Go!" Alexander orders.

Tony shakes his head at me and the turns around and walks away.

Alexander grabs my arm and pulls me into the house.

"You do not speak to me like that in front of my pack!" He yells angrily.

"You marked me!" I repeat as the tears keep falling. "How dare you?"

"You are mine!" He yells. "I have every right to mark you. I did it to keep all the males away. You are mine and only mine! That mark will let everyone know that I am your mate."

"And who the hell told you that I wanted to get marked?" I yell but the crying makes it impossible for me to sound angry. I sound like an arrogant little girl complaining to her daddy.

"Well you didn't exactly object!" He retorts.

"I was drunk!" I scream, desperately. "You shouldn't have!"

His eyes are dark and I can tell that he is fighting his wolf for control. Well, he better keep fighting because I really don't like talking to wolves.

"You are mine!" He yells back like that explains everything.

"Dammit! You just don't get it do you? I don't want this! I- I don't want you!" I caught on my breath then. I am so angry that I have forgotten about my wolf. I have forgotten that she is waiting for any opportunity to come out. My chest begins to tighten and I gasp for air desperately.

"Leila?" Alex asks with a frown.

I shake my head and wall outside. I can't breath. Ohmygod. She's coming out.

"Let her out!" Alex orders. "You have to let her out."

I shake my head as I cover my face with my hands. "No! No! I don't want this! Please!"

And then he puts his hands around me. I fight him, at first, and then I realize what he's doing. I bury my face in his chest and my wolf begins to calm down. I am able to breath again and I stay in his arms for a moment.
