Mutual Connect

CHAPTER 6

It's the end of the day now and I'm waiting for Alex. She disappeared after the lunch incident. I know she hasn't eaten so if it works out I'm taking her out to eat. Alex comes out of the school with a big red hand print located on her right cheek. When she spots me she makes her way over.

"Alex! Baby what happened?" I reach up to her face; my fingertips applying the slightest touch. She shivers at the touch and smiles down at me.

"Don't worry about it. I'll be a sexy beast again in no time. I broke it off with Andrea. Let's just say she is a little to a lot pissed off."

"Alex, I want to be IT for you. I want to be all you see forever. I promise I won't cheat on you or hurt you on purpose. We'll both make mistakes I already know that, but I want to be it for you, just like you're already it for me." My heart just practically poured out of my mouth. I love this girl.

Alexandria smiles down at me and puts one of her big hands on my head, effectively ruffling my hair. Her smile was so white and bright that I thought I'd be blinded if I looked too long.

"You are so beautiful, Dinah. Inside and out." She says.

Suddenly, I'm pulled into a big warm hug. Her embrace is so comfortable. It feels like I couldn't love her more than I do at this moment. Her hair smells like roses but her perfume like vanilla and cherry.

"I wanna take you out to eat. I know you haven't; don't even try to lie about it." I pull away from the hug and tug on her arm.

"What about your car?" Alex inquires. She must be unaware of the fact that my friends drove me to school.

"I don't have one, Alex." I reply and tug her again.

Alex pulls a keychain from her pocket and clicks the unlock button on her car remote. We hear and see the big black pickup truck. My eyes bug out as Alex takes my hand. She smiles down at me and leads me to her truck.

"I know is pretty big, I hope it's not too much. (A/N:That's what he said teehee) Have you ever been to Ronny's?"

"But I want Chipotle." I pout.

"Then my queen shall have Chipotle. Anything else you want? I can and will do anything you want or need." Alex says with sincerity.

  "Nah, just your company. And yes I am queen, fuck you mean boo." I poke out my lips and flip my hair dramatically.

At Chipotle

"Dinah Jane! Stop eating from my burrito bowl!! Eat your own stupid quesadilla." Alex huffed with a pout.

"Fine, I didn't want your stanky ess food anyways." We both burst into laughter until her phone rings.

"Speak" She answers immediately looking agitated without even looking at the caller ID.

"Sorry to snap. I'm out with Dinah. We're eating. Bye." I'm sure that the person on the other line never got a word in.

"Who was it? You got a curfew, Rawlins?" I smirk at her confidently.

"Well Hansen, not if you were to sleep over. We'd be up all night." A sexy yet playful smirk played on the basketball player's face. My face gets really red and I feel extremely hot all of the sudden.
