Mutual Connect

CHAPTER 5

Our Chemistry teacher Mr. Lawley. They are going at it pretty hard too. Andrea has her hands in his hair, tugging and pulling at it harshly.

I back up and hide in a spot where i can still clearly see them. I pull out my phone and make sure the flash and the recording light is off. Then, I begin to take pictures and video of their little scene. After 20 more minutes Lauren and i get out of there before we're spotted.

When we return to lunch Mani had already got our lunches for us. I'm trying to decide whether I want to tell Alex or not. But, I also feel like Andrea is hiding more.

Mr. Lawley is always here everyday at 7:10. That is 10 minutes before school starts and 35 minutes before classes start. Andrea is never here until 7:44. Maybe she has another boy toy. Two side dudes and a main chick, huh Andrea? Why are you such a hoe? (A/N: To any Andrea fans irl, this is just a story. This is not what I think of her or how I feel about her.)

"Where is Andrea?" Alex asks out loud for no one on particular to hear.

"I thought I saw her in the back hallway." Lauren chimed in with a blank face. Alex immediately gets up to go see. Once she's gone I look at Lauren like she has 12 heads.

"What was that? You just want her to walk into that shit? She'll be crushed to pieces Laur!"

I don't know why I'm saying this. This was my plan, to break those two up. Maybe the realization that Alex will be crushed is what's stopping me.

I stand up and run after Alex to stop her from seeing what Lauren and I saw. When I catch up to her, she is already staring blankly into the corridor. Her lips were parted and he body stiff. I can't believe Lauren did this!

"Alex." I spoke in a whisper and gently laid a hand on her shoulder. She jumped, blinked and let a lone tear slide down her face.

Alex pushes past me, but I follow her to the bathroom. She sits against the door once we're both in and sighs deeply.

"I really don't know what to say. She was supposed to be the one to make me forget you." My breath hitched when she spoke.

"I mean, I know it wasn't working and that I'm not what you want. But can you tell me why I'm not good enough for you? Or Andrea for that matter." The taller girl breaks into tears.

"Alex, you are more than good enough. I always wanted you, even when I didn't know it. I've been trying to get your attention since I accepted it. Andrea is an ungrateful bitch. I want you Alex." I confess my undying love and caress her face with one hand.

Electric blue eyes gaze into mine and I know she still has feelings me.

"Give me the rest of the school day to sort this out. Meet me after school right out front." Alex kisses me forehead allowing her soft lips to linger.

When she gets up to leave I know I have my girl.
