Eckhart carried Crost's body into the plane and laid it by the cockpit. He thought about the words Crost spoke to him just a few seconds ago. He would need to cut loose. He would need, this one time, to become the monster he could be and the nightmare his enemies feared him to be. The Midnight Crow.

Eckhart had repaired the rocket boosters on his suit on the journey to the White House and then rested. If he could not fly after the Skullcrusher, he was somewhat helpless. His ability to fly made him that much more valuable to the team.

The team checked their weapons and prepared for the third wave that was coming from the North. A fourth wave was coming from the South. A fifth and sixth wave were coming from the East and West respectively. The Knights were outnumbered and outgunned. There were thirty cyborgs in each wave. The Knights agreed that they needed to split up in order to take on these four waves. Eckhart took the north wave. Patton and Grant took the south wave. Scheider, Shark, and Kruger took the east wave. Allen, Shorrock, and Nantz took the west wave.

Eckhart simply stood where he was, aimed his energy blasters, and fired them at the wave of cyborgs. The metal they were made of was extremely strong. Normal bullets could not penetrate the metal unless they were armor piercing. They team fortunately had many of them stashed in the plane.

The wave Eckhart stood before fell in a matter of seconds. The blasts destroyed the cyborgs and left them in pieces. Metal was scattered across the ground. The hot metal melted the snow on the ground.

Patton hurried into the plane to grab the handheld M134 minigun. The belt of bullets stretched far and long. The rate of fire cut down the cyborgs like a knife through butter. The empty shells piled at his feet. The longer he fired the more of a mound he had. At one point, Grant thought Patton was going to make a pyramid with the shells he was piling up. Grant was not much for machine guns, but used a rifle most of the time. He did, this time however, use a machine gun. An HK416 to be exact.

Patton and Grant did not take down their wave near as fast as Eckhart did, but they did take them down faster than the other two groups did. When Patton and Grant finished taking down their group, they split up and went to the other two groups and help them out. Eckhart had already gone to the east wave.

Shark still used his Desert Eagle to shoot down the cyborgs. He did not get to use it as often as he wanted to. This was his chance. The high powered bullets blew apart the insides of the heads of the cyborgs.

Allen used three of his rockets he had on him to take out many of the cyborgs. Shorrock and Nantz just used their machine guns to shoot at the cyborgs. A hundred and eighty cyborgs were down, including the sixty the Eckhart took out in the X9 and the Knights took out before Eckhart chased after the other X9. Since there were a hundred and eighty down, there was still two hundred and twenty left. It was almost half, but it was still too many.

The Knights reloaded their weapons and waited for there to be another wave of cyborgs. The clock was ticking and they needed to reach Jones' tower to see if that is where the computer for disabling the missile strike was. Eckhart sent Shark, Nantz and Kruger to Jones' tower. It was then that another wave of cyborgs came from the north. The Knights readied themselves and aimed their weapons. Suddenly, an armored Suburban came crashing through the building behind the cyborgs and drove into them. A dozen cyborgs were destroyed at the first drive over. The Suburban then began to make donuts in the snow. The cyborgs tried to fire at the Suburban, but to no avail. The rest of the cyborgs were crushed underneath the Suburban. Once they were destroyed, the armored Suburban drove towards the Knights.
