"L-laurance?..what are you doing here so late?" "...huh o-oh I was just.uh wanted, I wanted to say hi?" "You're lying Laurance" (she said this and high pitched the Laurance part ,she knew she was right). "Pfftt no" (she stared at me with a serious face) "*sigh*...fine"(I turned to behind me to make sure no one was around and I pulled her inside her own house to tell her the truth). "Where's Hayden?" (Hayden was Cadenza's adoptive dad) "He's asleep why" "good....i'm going to tell you something ,but you can't tell anyone I told you ,or at least until it's allowed to be said..ok?" "Ok I promise ,but tell me now you're scaring me Laurance" "I know". "Lord Joh is dead he was murdered" "WHAT!?" (I quickly got a cloth that lying around and stuffed it in her mouth) "Shhhh you'll wake the village up" (she took out the cloth out of her mouth and nodded)"Oh sorry"."You think...I swear I-i don't know what happened ( I Say as hot tears start running down my face again, I quickly wipe them ,because I don't want Cadenza too see me like this) "I failed him"(I look down before I burst into tears again, I began to punch the wall out of anger and I kept repeating myself)"I failed him... I failed him....I FAILED HIM.". (Out of nowhere I was suddenly turned around and Cadenza SLAPPED ME !?. Ow ,I started to wonder if she could hit any harder ,but I immediately erased the thought from my mind ,hoping not and just yelled)"OW WHAT WAS THAT FOR?". (I stared at her with a concerned/surprised that she hit me look I was about to say something ,but she grabbed the cloth and stuck it in my mouth before I could say anything and she yelled back). "SO YOU WOULD CALM DOWN NOW SHUT UP AND TELL ME WHAT--uh". "I'm sorry Laurance I didn't meant to--"(I took the cloth in mouth put and then realized it had just been in her mouth gross) "it's ok Cadenza really"( I said with some digust in my voice I looked at Cadenza and realized she was staring at me like I was and injured baby bunny and she awwed~she soon leaned in and gave me a comforting hug. I was grateful to have someone like her and with that I hugged her back. After that I obeyed her without question fearing that if I didn't she might hit me again ,but harder this time. I sat down at her coffee table so I could tell her what happened. She walked over to the kitchen and came back to give me a warm glass of milk. After that she sat down and I told about me being on patrol at my father's house and that I turned around for 1 sec ,but when I turned back there was an arrow through his chest.Then I told her about how I checked outside that I saw a cloaked woman. And that I started to chase her ,but after a few minutes of squirming like a lost bug in the woods I knew I lost her. And that's when I decided to to go retrieve Ulrich and the other guards for help and how he told me to get some rest After I finished my story she stared at me wide eyed I knew she probably couldn't believe it was true ,because I still didn't believe it. I hoped that when I returned back I would see the lord Joh, my father fast asleep in his bed.I knew it wasn't true and this made me teary eyed again Cadenza stared at me again and knew I need a another hugged ,but this time before she could lean in ,I leaned in and hugged her tight hoping it would never end ,but it had to and it was time for me to leave and we said our last goodbyes and I left.After I left Cadenza's house I went to go check on everyone else in the village. so I knew for sure everyone was safe 100% and I meant it. I went back to my father's house to make sure I wasn't crazy from not getting enough sleep. And sure enough I wasn't crazy he really is dead~ the arrow was still through his chest guard looking around with swords at hand and yellow and black tape around his house this pained me more wishing that I could of done something. Then I went back to the guard tower to get some rest ,let's see what awaits me tomorrow.)
