I was waiting for mom to get home. I didn't know when she would be home but she was supposed to work late. I sat on the couch and turned the tv on. *beep beep*. My phone goes off. I go to the counter, must be mom telling me to start dinner I thought. It was. I through some leftovers in the microwave and start to wash and peel the potatoes. About an hour later mom still hasn't come home. So I was alone, my dad had passed a few years after I was born, so it's just my mom and I. I had text her earlier and she said she would be there in a few. That was thirty minute mutes ago. I go and lay down on the couch. Maybe if I take a little nap she will be here when I wake up. I wake up to hear tires in the driveway and people talking and yelling. I was still just waking up, so I sat up and went over and looked out the window.

I was frightened to see a bunch of black cars and no where in sight was my mom. I tried to call her again but, no answer. People start to walk up to the house as the last car arrives. I run and hide in the front room closet where I can still see them. They open the door and come pouring in. One comes towards the closet I'm in and opens it ,I hide behind the coats but am found. Not necessarily a good hiding place. I scream as he grabs me and tries to bring me out. Two others a man and a woman come over to help him. I put up quite a fight. But unfortunately I lose. The man that found me carried me to the couch. Others hold me down. Cops try to calm me down but I'm too confused to understand.

In the end the lady is the one to calm me down. She introduces herself as Amanda, an agent for, what did she say? Elisium? But they calm me down and tell me that something has gone wrong and my mom is not well. She most likely won't survive. They said they don't know what is wrong but I don't care. I just need to see her. "No! I have to see her!!!" I scream. Amanda then speaks to me, " look Irva, you need to come with us. It's for you own good.". But I didn't want to. I screamed and tried to run but couldn't because they were holding me down. I heard something snap but it wasn't from anyone else in here. I felt in in my chest but it wasn't painful. I was being drug outside and heard water churning. I look over at the stream that runs by our house. It could be the only source of the noise.

Everyone's heads snap toward the bubbling of the stream. I heard Amanda quietly mumble, "I knew something like this might happen, and, one down six to go". Everyone stood staring at the stream while the anger inside me was burning through my veins. They put me down but some looked at me then the stream. It started rising, and growing in size. It came over the bank and thrashed toward everyone. I was freaked out by then and was about to run but someone grabbed me. I got more angry. The stream bubbled around us and spun like a small cyclone. It gradually started rising above us. I was drug away from it too afraid to move myself away. We ran towards the cars.At some point I felt a small poke in my side, a needle receded from my side and it started getting black but the wave crashed over us before we reached the cars. Too little too late.
