Being homeless sucked.

After I turned thirteen my dad became sick. He had cancer and about six months later he died. The next day my mom died of a sudden heart attack. Everyone told me it was from a broken heart but it most definitely wasn't. When they both died I felt a faint *pop* in my chest somewhere. After that I never felt love, and every day I feel multiple pops and a sense of tugging after, but I don't know what it is.

I was sitting at the orphanage with the other children and teens chatting and walking about. No one really paid attention to me. That's how it was every day. I sat on my bed while everyone else was having fun elsewhere without me. It wasn't luxury here but we were cared for pretty good compared to other places I've been. It was getting close to noon so we would be having lunch soon. I stood up and walked out and felt everyone's eyes burning into my back, as usual they stared. I never did anything to them, and I tried to stay out of their way as much as possible but that didn't seem to be enough.

I reached the last step of the stairs and heard everybody else stomping down the stairs, screaming and yelling and roughing around. I quietly went towards the cafeteria and grabbed a plate. I took some fries, a pomegranate and some chicken nuggets I grabbed a Coke and walked away. I sat at the last table and away from everyone and began to eat. I always grabbed a pomegranate, and the cooks seemed to catch on that I liked them and served them everyday now. They seemed to give me a lot of energy.

I was going up the stairs back to my bed when I heard a muffled yell coming from the room I slept in. I felt a pop and a tug. Running up the stairs now I reached the doorway and looked around. At first I saw nothing but then saw a small pool of blood at the end of the bed next to mine. I was afraid to move but I made myself walk towards it. Looking first under the bed I saw nothing but I turned to look up and saw that my bedsheets were now stained red almost everywhere.

I was to afraid to lift the covers. Calmly I ran down stairs and told the orphanage owner there was an emergency in my room. We reached the room and she let out a blood curtailing scream. She ran over and went to my bed. Lifting the sheets she screamed and flipped her phone out dialing 911, by then some children were gathered around but I was blocking their view and was trying to get them to leave.

The cops had showed up and called more agents around them. The agents had the word Elisium written in bold on their backs. I was sitting on the stairs while all the others were in their rooms. At one point a couple of agents pointed at me and whispered including a girl around my age with blonde hair.

Some came over to me and asked if they could ask some questions, including the blonde girl. Did they really think I killed the kid?! But I nodded my head yes and I was led outside to begin the questioning. The blonde had an odd aura surrounding her, sometimes I thought I could see blue on it, and it seemed powerful. I was staring at her, and she caught my gaze. She turned to the others and mouthed "I think he is one". One of the others gave her a questionable look. This made me even more mad, because I thought they might think I killed the kid. Someone then someone popped the question, did you kill the kid? I was then sent over my temper and yelled at them. NO!!

I faintly felt the ground shake but they really seemed to notice, I couldn't see their reactions through the red film covering my vision. I had never been this mad before, there was a loud snap that I heard over an almost as loud scraping sound of rock against rock. The snap had come from my chest but it didn't hurt. My vision cleared and I looked at them crazily smiling at the ground.

I looked at what they were staring at. A large six foot crack had appeared in the ground. It was about seven inches deep. I heard a laugh and snapped my attention to the agents. The blonde looked at me nodded her head still smiling, and then uttered the words," Most definitely".
