"Are you serious right now?" He looked at me with a serious face. "No, I'm so not kidding Vi."
There, standing at my doorstep, was my boyfriend, Vernon, and his little brother, Chan. He was five.. ..and agitating, but still adorable.
"Hi Chan," I said in a monotone voice. I glanced down at the little toddler who was staring up at me with a toothy grin. "Fix me some milk?"
I rolled my eyes and let them in as I closed the door and went to the kitchen to fix Chan his milk.
I came back with the drink in a small cup and made him sit at the kids' table (I have a younger sister). "Here."
"Thank you!" He started to drink his milk while watching Spongebob. Vernon was sitting down on the couch practically rolling when Patrick misread the compass.
"Ooh, east? I thought you said weast."
"Aha! weast, I-" Vernon burst out laughing, slapping his knee.
It wasn't even that funny...
I tapped him on the shoulder as he looked up. "Yeah Vicky?" I pointed towards the hallway so we could talk.
"I-In a minute babe, I'm watching Spongebob. This my favorite episode."
"Boy-" I smirked as I pulled him up by his jacket and dragged him to the hallway.
"Whoa whoa whoa, easy! I just bought this jacket." I scoffed as I punched his arm several times.
"Stop it! What is your problem?"
"This is my problem! We have to babysit again when we're supposed to be on our date." Vernon rubbed the back of his neck with no words to say.
"I know. I know, I'm sorry."
"Why couldn't your parents babysit him?" He shrugged his shoulders and leaned on the wall adjacent to him. "I don't know, they said they were going out with the neighbors from next door."
"And you didn't tell them that you had plans?"
"I did, but-" He didn't finish his sentence as he just stood there and scratched his head.
"Hello? Hello." He sighed and tried to give me a hug, but I pouted like a baby and folded my arms.
"No, don't touch me."
"Vicky, come on." I shook my head and walked up the stairs. When I got up to the top, I looked at him. "This is the third time that this happened. I just want some alone time with you."
He started to stroll up the stairs. "We can still have some alone time, as soon as he fall asleep." I turned swiftly around and went inside my room. "I'm not talking to you."
"Oh babe, come on! You're being ridiculous.." I stood in the doorway as I held my chest, appalled of what was said.
"Excuse me? So I'm being ridiculous for wanting my boyfriend to be alone with me when it's supposed to be our time right now?..yeah, okay. You are so not getting a kiss from me."
"Vicky!"

I was laying in my room bored as I don't know what. I'm surprised Vernon didn't come up here yet.
I was kind of disappointed, to be honest.
I'll admit, I was overreacting a bit, but I only wanted to be with my boyfriend. Is that so wrong?
No, what was wrong is how I blew up on Vernon. I mean, it wasn't his fault that his parents went out. He had to follow their rules, and I'm pretty sure he didn't want to watch Chan in the first place, but because it's his brother, he had no choice.
I should go apologize...
I lazily rolled out my bed, putting on my bunny slippers when I set my feet on the floor. I go down the stairs to see a sleeping Chan and a weary Vernon who was dying of boredom.
He had Chan's head lying on his lap while he drunk some orange juice.
Where he get the orange juice from though?
I guess he must have heard me coming down the stairs because he looked behind him and stood up instantly, completely forgetting that Chan was napping right on his thighs.
He fell right on the floor, too.
"Ouch!" Chan rubbed his head as he stood up and kicked Vernon. Vernon held his leg as Chan grabbed a pillow and fell right back to sleep on the couch.
I couldn't help but to laugh a little at the situation.
Vernon saw me laughing and ended up laughing a bit himself. "I guess it's pretty funny."
"Very." Vernon took one big step and held me in his arms. It took me off guard, but after a while, I wrapped my arms around him.
"I'm sorry this day didn't plan out the way you wanted, baby" Vernon stated. I hummed as I moved my head from his shoulder. "No, I'm sorry."
"Vicky, you don't have to apolo-"
"But I do, Vernon. I went a little overboard and spazzed out on you when you didn't have any control of what your parents made you do. I was just being a stubborn little brat. I'm sorry babe."
"Come here, you." He grinned and laid my head on his shoulder.
"Does this mean you forgive me?" He hummed in a 'yes' tone as he rubbed my back. "As long as you forgive me."
"Ugh, so noisy.." Chan got up from the couch with his pillow and some cover.
"I'll sleep in your room Vi, if you don't mind." He hopped up the stairs and closed the door to my room.
We both shared a laugh at Chan's little reaction. As I was staring at the stairs, Vernon took my cheek and caressed it.
"So.. ..about that kiss you said I couldn't have earlier?" I giggled as I placed my forehead on his and touched noses.
"Oh you remember that, huh?" He nodded and pecked my forehead, then my nose, then my cheek.
"Oh, just kiss already!" Chan said from the stairs.
I thought he was sleep...
"Well, you heard the man," I replied. He exhaled as he went in and kissed me. I felt him smile in between the kiss.
"Ewwww," Chan said and closed the door after he ran in.
