Gabriel lifted Natalia in his arms and carried her over to Raeder, who in turn lowered his back and let the two warriors settle in the saddle. Never, in all his years with the Guard had he seen such beauty, passion and strength combined in such a delicate yet fierce package. He smiled as he fastened Natalia’s sleeping form into the saddle. The Pearl of Chronos was tucked safely in Gabriel’s pouch, and they were finally on their way back to the palace, and they were on their way home from a victory that was sure to eclipse any of the other heroic tales that were told yearly during festivals and celebrations. Though she did not know it, Natalia, the girl who had no memory of who she was, had just sealed her place in the history of Chronos.

Sleep, Gabriel of the Phalanx Guard. You have done your part. Allow me to do mine and bring you safely back to the Kingdom.

And with that, the mighty dragon flew back to the Chronos Kingdom, bearing on her back, the two heroes of the Pearl of Chronos.

And so it was that Gabriel and Natalia,

Returned to Chronos astride the great dragon, Raeder,

With the Pearl of King Victus the Third,

Safely in their hands.

Natalia regained her memory as promised,

Returned to the West City, to the waiting arms of her Father,

Zacharias, who was overjoyed,

At how strong and how wise his daughter had grown.

As for Gabriel, Brave One of the Phalanx,

Returned to his Kingdom and vowed in his heart,

To wait for the fiery, beautiful face,

Of the girl with the midnight blue eyes.
