PROLOGUE

"P-please.. Mr. Peres." I heard an angelic voice said.

I looked at my right and saw Armani Peres stroding on my way with a girl trailing him pleading for his attention.

I looked the girl up and down before looking back to Peres.

"Mr. Peres--" The girl called out and tried to reach his arm but was cut off when Peres shoved her hands harshly.

My brows rose up then formed a line and I stiffen. I suddenly felt my nose flaring in anger with my hands balled into tight fists.

I closed my eyes then breathed deeply, trying to control my anger towards that Peres guy! Who does he think he is?

Greyson, stop acting like this. You don't even know the woman! I scolded myself.

I tried thinking of pleasant things to distract myself but then I heard sobs. My eyes shot open and there I saw Peres finger pointing the girl who was now with it's head held low and crying infront of him. He was saying harsh words and the girl's shoulders were uncontrollably shaking because of crying.

I felt my heart tighten at the sight and without thinking, I rush to them and punched Peres.

"O-Oh my god!" The girl screamed when she saw Peres landed on the ground and was about to run to him but I stopped her with my hands.

I pulled her to my side and snaked my arm on her slender waist.

"No one dares talk to my betrothed like that!" I snapped at the guy lying on the floor looking at me with fear.

Cameras flashed everywhere but I didn't care. The girl was squirming in my hold, maybe she's feeling uncomfortable with all those things that flashes and what's happening around. I turned her around and hid her face on my chest still not taking my arms off her.

"I'm cancelling everything. No transactions will happen between my empire and you're company, leave now." I firmly said.

His eyes widened "M-Mr. Gallardo! I didn't know that she.. S-she's--"

"Leave. " I said with my dangerously low voice.

He paled then stood up and scurried away.

I rubbed the girls back then looked down only for me to catch my breath and forget to breathe.

This girl infront of me is a goddess!

Wait-- I remembered saying she's betrothed to me.

Damn! What have I gotten myself into?!
