I look at the photo of my family..
My mom, dad, brother and sister.
I lost them all..
My mom and dad were both doctors. My brother was in the military and my sister stayed at home with me.
Tears fall from my eyes, down my cheeks and into my lap. Theres a knock at enids door and someone walks in. I quickly put the photo away and wipe my eyes.
Its ron.
"Listen if youre gonna call me fucking sensitive again just do it" i look at him and stand up.
"Im sorry" he says
"Its whatever" i say and sit back on my bed. He sits next to me.
"Ive lost people and i guess i was mean to you because everyone payed attention to you" he says
"Then ill just leave" i say and i start to repack my things
"No" he grabs my hand
"I didnt ask to be here. Yes i like enid and everyone else, but im not fit to live with people. Ive lived alone for so long" i whispers. He leans in really close
"Youll just have to get used to it" he whispers and stands up. He leaves.
I get up and walk out the house. I see ron go back towards his and i go the other way.
"Edith" someone says and i look around. I see that guy, what was his name..
Shit.
"Hows it going" he asks
"Good.." i smile and so does he
"Has carl been good to you?" He asks
"Yeah, he indroduced me formally to enid, ron, and sam" i smile and he nods
"Im Rick if you couldnt remember" he says
"Thank you.. for letting me in" i say and he nods and walks away. I keep walking.
"Edith " i hear ron
"Hey" i say to him he runs up and grabs my arm and pulls me towards a pond. "What are you doing" i ask him.
"Isnt it beautiful" he smiles
"Yeah.. it is" i reply. He grabs my hand.
-carls pov-
Me and enid snuck out and decide to run.
"Walkers" he whispers and we hide in a tree..
After a while i touch her hand.

"Arent you uh.. with enid" i look at him
"Yeah.." he says and slowly lets go of my hand
I walk back to the house and sit on my bed.
"Edith" enid runs in. She scares the shit outta me and i grab my knife
"Jesus you scared me" i say lowering my hand.
"Follow me" she says and i do.
Rick and some guy are fighting
"Who that man?" I whisper to her
"Rons dad" she looks at me.
"Oh man.." i stare. Ron walks over to them, going to throw a punch at rick
I run over to him and grab him and pull him away.
"Ron no" i whisper to him
"Let go of me" he yells
"No!" I yell back. I pulls him away slowly. I look at enid "come here" i say and she runs over. We walk him away and he looks at us
"Listen you cant just fight him. Youll get hurt you think any of us want that?" I look at him
"Hes hurting my dad" he says
"Maybe your dad deserved it" i snap and he pushes me. And i hit my head on something sharp on the ground.
"Edith your heads bleeding" enids says
"Its fine im ok" i say and ron looks at me. "Im gonna go get this checked out."
I walk and walk with no clue as to where im going
"Edith what happened?" That tara girl looks at me
"I fell and hit my head" i say
"Follow me" she says and we walk to this house. "She cut her head"
"Sit down" the lady says and i do. She cleans it off and looks at it "youll need stitches"
"Okay" i smile and she starts to put them in. It doesnt hurt much.
"How are you feeling?" She asks
"Fine a bit tried" i say
"Try not to fall asleep for the next 5 hours.. you could fall into a coma" she says and i nod. I leave and i see enid and ron hugging. I walk past and into our house. I lay on the bed. Im not allowed to sleep so.
I trace the letter x over and over again on the ceiling.
"Hey how are you" i look over.
"Hey carl. Im good" i say and he sits next to me
"I saw what ron did to you" he says
"He was pissed.. its understandable" i say
"He still shouldnt have done it" he says
"Yea well who cares now" i laugh a bit.
"Are you gonna be okay?" He asks
"Well i cant sleep for the next few hours, so no imma be cranky" i laugh "ill be fine dont worry" i smile
"Im here if you need me" he smiles
"Thank you carl" i say and he leaves.
I look out the window and enid is still with ron. He seems to be yelling. I open it and try to listen
"Who was she to say that he deserved it!" He yells
"Ron calm down, be lucky you still have a dad" she says to him.
"So you agree with her" he snaps
"I didnt say that. But your dad abuses your mom!" She says
"Get away from me" he says and walks away. Enid runs inside crying.
"Hes an ass enid" i say and hug her. "Ill be back okay?" I say and run outside.
"Ron" i yell to him and he keeps walking. I run and grab his arm turning him around.
"What" he yells
"You think its okay he does that. An you think its okay that you made enid cry" i yell at him and push him.
"My dad is a great man" he says
"He abuses your mom!" I push him again. He pushes me back. I throw a punch and he blocks it.
"Chill out" he says
"No, you made enid cry. You think your dad is a great man after abusing your mom. Im pissed" i scream.
