Five yen only

"(y/n) so it's a deal?",

"Yes...".

Yato smiled brightly.

"Meet me at Kofuku's shrine tomorrow, i should be there with Yukine", He said.

-next day-

You walked up the stairs towards the shrine. As you reached the top, you could see Yukine sitting on a wooden bench, starring up at the clouds. He noticed you approaching. His head turning left to right, like his suddenly forgotten where he was.

"Goodmorning Yukine-kun",

"Good morning!...". You sat down besides him. Both of you sat in silence starring at the clouds.

"Wheres Yato", you questioned without any eye contact.

"I-I'm not sure, havent seen him all morning", he responded. It was back to awkward silence. You placed your hands into your pockets.

"Yukine?"

"Yeah?", he responded.

"Do you hate me? I know we just met but...you never really want to talk to me", you turned to look at him.

"Oh course not!" Yukine exclaimed. He looked away, avoiding any sort of eye contact with you.

"Its just I....get embarrassed around.... *mumble mumble mumble*", he mumbled. You at him confused.

'Huh? I didnt hear what he said towards the end should I ask him to repeat? He looks a bit embarassed though'

Suddenly, Yato appeared from thin air. You both turned around, surprised.

"Oh , hey (y/n) you actually came", Yato said as he stood up. He rubbed his back lightly and then stretched.

'How does he appear from thin air? Is he a magician?!...thats actually pretty cool'

"Lets go and get that five yen!" he shouted. Yukine and (y/n) looked at each other before following the black haired man. You three arrivied at a small cafe, Yato approached a young handsome man who was sipping a cup of coffee. All three of you sat down opposite of him.

"Hello sir, you must be the one that called me earlier", Yato greeted politely. It seemed strange to you that Yato actually knew what manners were.

"Are you the one im meeting, i remember i was on the phone talking to somebody about a girl", the man replied. He looked over to see you.

"I'm Yato, you are Tooru-san?", Yato said.

"How do you know my name?" Tooru asked suspiciously.

"You told ne over the phone the other day", Yato replied.

"Oh..."

"Well, my friend (y/n), here who is still single said she could help you with the problem you are experiencing, she is also planning to get a partner" Yato placed his arm over your shoulder, you gave him awkward, regretful stare before looking away.

'Why you lying, I shouldn't have agreed to do this"

"She looks really...young",Tooru inspected you.

"Well I am only-", you began but Yato covered your mouth before you could utter anything more.

"W-Well shes only...eighte- nineteen, anyways doesnt a young women make a better impression?", Yato continued.

"what a liar..." Yukine muttered out. His master gave a small laugh and whacked his regalia on the head. Yukine turned to glare at Yato as he rubbed his head. You proceeded to order two cakes for yourself and Yukine.

"The kid is just joking, he has quite the sense of humor" Yato laughed.

"Um okay", Tooru responded. He turned to smile at you.

"So young mistress, what is your name?" Tooru asked kindly. You replied to his question bluntly.

"Thats a nice name, thank-you for helping me, I dont think I can ever pay you back for this deed,  Ithink we'll make a wonderful couple", Tooru said. He grabbed your hands and gazed straight into your eyes. You starred back at him surprised at his sudden touchy feelings. You snapped out of your daze as the waiter approached, you pulled your hands away and proceeded to eat.

"You can pay back the deed by giving me a five yen", Yato chirped gleefully.

'Am I only worth five yen"

"Oh, should I be really paying for a girlfriend?", Tooru chuckled.

"You can just think of it as a gift", Yato replied as he extended his hand out. Tooru smiled and placed tha coin into Yato's hand.

"Your wish has been heard loud and clear",

"May I ask why you are in such a hurry in finding a girlfriend", Yato asked.

"W-well... I know this might be a really selfish and stupid reason but I lied to my parents and friends that I had a really wonderful girlfriend", Tooru replied averting his eyes, "my family and friends now wants to meet her".

"(y/n) are you willing to date me for a bit?" Tooru asked with concerned eyes. You looked over to your left, there was Yato nodding his head in a 'yes' with a big grin. You turned to the right, where Yukine was shaking his head.

'I guess Yukine doesnt want me to do it...I really want to decline but isn't it a bit strange? Tooru has the looks and he's a gentlemen,  how could he not have a girlfriend'

You cleared your throat, "I can try but only for a week".

Yukine sighed.
