I walked in the rain, my hair getting even more soaked by the minute. I heard ticking in my ear.
Again.
Is painful, hearing the ticks in my head.
Some girls passed by with an umbrella and looked at me if I was some kind of wet animal. I kept my view down as they quickly walked off in their disgusting pink heels. I scoffed as I walked to my home. -Chris! Your back! Damn you're soaking wet! Go and get a towel dear- my mom said, clearly worried. I nodded and grabbed a towel drying my hair. -Hey sis! Hey sis!-
I looked to the doorway and saw my lil little sis dressed as a dark princess. Yes I know, she may be adorable and 6 years old, but she HATED pink. I guess she got that attitude from me, because pink is disgusting. I smiled -Yeah May?-
She grabbed my hand and dragged me to her room -Look what I made!- she squealed and handed me a paper with a drawing on it. I looked at it and my eyes widened -Who's that?- I asked concerned. She grinned -It's Malu!- I raised my eyebrow. -Wh-who's Malu?- I asked again. She twirled around -Is my friend, it comes out at night and plays with me!-
-It?-
-Yeah! Because when we're playing the princess and the knight, it turns into a boy! And when we're playing the tea party, it turns into a girl!-
'What the fuck?! Who's this Malu?!' I thought as I handed her the drawing. -Does mom knows about Malu?-
-Yeah she does, but she says is just an imaginary friend- I looked at her green eyes.
-And you can see it?-
-Yep! It can carry me around and hold stuff just fine!-
What the...
-Oh and can I see it?- I asked hopefully. She shook her head -It's shy. It doesn't like to show itself to other people- May replied. -Oh. Well I really like the drawing May. See ya then- I said walking to my room. Well that was creepy.
My phone buzzed as I let myself fall on my bed. I grabbed it and I got a text message from Chris.
Yeah yeah I know it's my name. The only difference between me and him is that he is a boy and I'm just a girl. I smiled and looked at the text.
-Hey Chris are you coming over?
I yelled
-HEY MOM CAN I GO TO CHRIS' HOUSE!??!-
I heard my answer
-IT'S SOAKING WET OUT THERE! HE CAN COME HERE IF HE WANTS!-
I sighed and texted my answer
-Mom won't let me go. She said you could come over but I don't want you to get wet. I'll go sometime later
-No I'm going
-Chris you don't have to
-But I want to
I sighed and smiled
-Okay.
