knock knock knock

"you have got to be kidding me..," paige groaned and rolled off of her mattress.

the knocks got louder and more obnoxious.

"i swear to god if it's the guys i'm going to kill them," aaliyah shouted and walked out of her room.

and sure enough on the other side of apartment 4A's front door stood michael, ashton, calum and luke.

"mooooorning," the four boys sang off key after aaliyah opened the door.

"it's.." she looked at her phone and rubbed her eyes, "10am, why are you guys here so early."

"we don't wanna waste our last day in america sleeping...duh," michael laughed.

"yeah, we have a ton of shit to do tonight," calum winked before letting himself in.

these four boy had bought an apartment in new york a year ago to spend their summer vacation in.

but sadly summer vacation has come to an end and the school year in australia was starting up again. this meant tonight was their last night in america and they had to spend it with their neighbors from across the hall, aaliyah, maria, kyla and paige.

"care to help me make breakfast?" aaliyah lightly elbowed ashton's side.

"i'd be honored," he smiled and they walked into the kitchen together.

"hey uh.. where's maria?" calum walked around the apartment searching for her.

"on the roof as usual," paige came out of her shared bedroom with kyla, stretching. luke's cheeks flamed up slightly seeing her in just a long t-shirt.

"morning luke," she smiled at him.

he cleared his throat choking on his words before getting out a barely audible, "hi"

"kyla... pssst... ky ky.. helllloooo..." kyla heard in her sleep. she twisted and turned before blinking open her eyes to see a flash of green, followed by a giggle and then the voice of michael.

"hey yooooouuu." she chuckles while stretching, "is it time to start the day already?"

"it is... the boys and i just got here and ashton is in the kitchen with aaliyah starting breakfast.. i volunteered to wake you up of course." he sat on the floor next to her mattress.

"well aren't you just the bravest, taking on such a difficult task." she laughed while getting up and walking to the bathroom.

"i know, but you wouldn't bite my head off like you would if it were cal or luke,"

"true," she looked at him through the reflection in the mirror. he stood behind her as she finished brushing her teeth and washing her face and everything she normally did in the morning.

"you have got to quit this bad habit of yours babe," calum spoke startling maria. she dropped her cigarette in a puddle of water and frowned before turning to him.

"you're such a jerk!" she said jokingly pushing him, "you're lucky i was almost finished with that and if anyone should be quitting a bad habit it should be you and sneaking up on people"

"surprised you arent used to this already," he flashed a cheeky smile with rubbing his hands together to stay warm.

"yeah yeah yeah... ready for today or tonight or whatever," she looked up at him.

"making this night one i'll never forget? yeah.. leaving you girls until next summer? no.." he frowned.

"don't worry, the school year will fly by.. and you'll get to see my annoying ass everyday again," maria smiled at him.

"i really fucking hope so," he muttered under his breath watching her walk back into the apartment building.

okay so this was sorta and introduction to the story and the characters, letting you know small things about them sorta???? but it also was meant to show which boy is drawn to which girl and yeah!

im really excited to start incorporating the lyrics of the song with the story :-))))
