So it went on, the portals never closed and population was wiped from Earth. I still couldn't find my parents along with Day, Sarah and Andrew. Its just been us so far. People have come and go. The hope for life is now at minimum, hope is gone for survival. Our group took shelter in the End. Day, Sarah, Andrew and I, these are the only people i know for a fact are alive. Is this a dream? It' not. Its been way too long for that miracle.
As Sarah and Day sat by the broken edge of the End, Andrew and I worked on the repairs. Every few days we returned to Earth to get supplies and gather more people, they never make it. Our next supply run is in a few days. Though dangerous, its good to go back and get fresh air. The End has artificial air that just doesn't give you the sensation of real fresh air from Earth. The End Dragon was destroyed a while ago. Its when I first discovered the End. Enderman are pretty rare but valuable. Ive only caught about 3 during my time in the End. I cant use Ticks, Ticks is the name of my bow (What? It gets lonely sometimes). I've either had to use Andrew as bait to catch the Enderman or just sneak up quietly. Our supplies right now are minimal. Just a few pieces of meat and a pocket full of XP for repairs. But enough about me. This is about survival.
Here in the End there is no time. Our bodies are pretty much able to sleep for as long as needed for full energy. We have our house built of wood and cobble built by Sarah and Day. Sarah and Day have stayed behind to build while me and Andrew ran the supply runs. It works out pretty well.
Andrew and I wake up early remembering todays the day we go on the supply run. Andrew groans. We get all settled up and ready to teleport. Day wakes up and tells us good luck, we probably will need it. Andrew and I lock arms as we step into the portal (Don't get any ideas, its so we aren't separated). We close our eyes and drift away. We open our eyes to the remains of the school. The portal in front of the school has always been open. Only Andrew has ever tped to another realm. It was before we knew we needed to lock arms. Andrew apparently said it was Earth, but not how he remembered it. The grass was purple and the skies were Red, but everything was so...normal. Other than color, everything was the same form and shape. It was hard to believe but hey, so is any of this. We took our first step and found it hard to keep balance at first, the gravity changes quite a bit between worlds. After about 5 mins we were used to the gravity, and we continued our journey. After walking around for about 30 minutes, we came across a market, it was Al's. Al's is the market me and Andrew always go for the supply runs. We hardly ever find anything because its the primary source of the towns food. We walked in slowly and heard footsteps everywhere. QuietGroans could be heard from each isle. The blood on the floor was not convincing of humans anywhere near. But we knew we had to clear the shop, just in case survivors came in and weren't prepared. Now don't forget the take-over happened months ago. The take-over is what our group calls the beginning, also known as Before. Since it was so long ago, we've seen pretty messed up things on supply runs. So don't think Andrew and I can't take on a crowd of zombies. Me and Andrew split up and I take the first isle. In the first isle there is about 3 zombies all fixated on the shiny piece of metal in front of them, should be an easy kill. I take one step and all their eyes locked onto mine. Great. A take a leap toward the heard slicing 2 in the head. I try to pull the sword out of the 2nd zombies head but its stuck. I also left my back turned to the third zombie with my shoulder exposed. Stupid idea. The zombie reaches at me and goes to bite my shoulder. I shriek kicking the zombie in the legs so hard the both popped of completely. It was disgusting, but I was able to impale the third zombie putting the lifeless corpse to rest. I heard a shriek from about 3 isles over. Andrew can clear pretty fast. I run over to the isle and see a skeleton with its arrow directed at Andrews face. he screams and moves out of the way. I run behind the skeleton kicking its back, it crumbles to a pile of bones. I go over to Andrew and see he was shot in the left thigh by an arrow. "Oh my gosh, we need to get you back right now." I said in a panicked voice. "No, we need to keep moving!" Said Andrew trying not to seem in pain. "Listen, you have to go back. We have no medical supplies right now." I said with a reassuring look towards Andrew. He looked down like it was his fault I had to take him back to the portal. I helped him up and pulled out Ticks. I could hold Andrew up while shooting Ticks for protection. We walk outside and head for the portal. I look up to see a swarm of ghasts. Not good. "Oh god." Said Andrew staring up at the swarm. "Dude we are almost there, lets keep moving." I said trying to pick up the pace with Andrew along with me. We reached the base of the portal and took one more look behind me, anther bad idea. The ball of fire burst at us hitting the portal breaking the blocks into shards. We were trapped. I put Andrew down and wiped the ashes off my shirt. I pointed Ticks in the sky and released my grip on the arrow. The arrow shot out and a new one formed in the place of the one i had shot, gotta love infinity. I was able to shoot down 3 ghasts with one remaining. It shot a fireball at me and I dove out of the way, but Andrew didn't. I shot the arrow sending the ghast into hundreds of particles. I turned around to check on Andrew forgetting he had been beside me during the impact. Andrew lay unconscious a few feet away from the explosion. "ANDREW!" I screamed as I went to check his pulse. He was still breathing...barely. I carried him back into the market where we had gone for supplies, still breathing, still hope. I went to scan the isles leaving Andrew under the register out of the mobs' vision. I found a can of tomatoes and some leftover water bottles from the freezer isle. Even though the freezer didn't work, the water was suitably cold. I brought the water back over to Andrew and tried to get him to drink. Hard, but I got it done. I sat down next to him and cleaned Ticks with the leftover water. I drifted off about 30 mins later but I woke up right away to the sound of Andrew coughing. "Andrew?" I said checking his pulse. His eyes widened and he looked around. "What happened?" He has trying to stand up. "Wait don't stand yet, you're too weak right now. Andrew glared at me. "I can handle myself!" He said in an angry tone. I could understand how he felt. "We need to get back, we can try next week if you're up t-" "Why wouldn't I be?!" Andrew glared at me. "Do you think im too weak? I can't handle myself? I can do things on my own Jordan." Andrew said trying to stand again. I froze from realization on how I was treating him. He's my friend, not my responsibility. "Ok" I managed to say looking down. There was a few seconds of silence. "Lets get moving." he said gaining his balance. We headed towards the front door and checked if it was clear. No sign of mobs. Wait, the portal... It's gone! I guess Andrew was knocked out before he saw the portal because he stood there with his mouth wide open. It took a minute for him to let it sink in. "What now..." he said still looking at the remainders of what was once our way home. "I don't know" I replied.
