“Louis, you little bugger! C’mere!”

I chased after the oldest member of One Direction in the backyard of Liam’s house. It was a completely random day and the boys were having a free day, as was I. I had just come back from an American tour for my own album. My album has been sold in the U.S. with a great amount. I never would’ve expected this sort of fame. Although, it’s not as grand as my brother, Niall.

Anyways, what was I saying? Yeah, I was chasing Louis because he stole my purse full of candy. Don’t ask me why I have it, I just do. And I never intended the suspenders wearing lad to steal it away from me.

It seemed that Louis and I were the only ones up and about while the boys and Liam’s childhood friend Shiloh were lounging together in a circle, talking to one another. “Are none of you going to help me?” I asked them desperately. I glanced at my twin brother. “Niallers?”

“I’m surprised that either of you are so hyper,” Zayn muttered, lying on the grass peacefully, his hands behind his head. “We were planning on going to Disneyland tomorrow, weren’t we?”

“Of course we are, but it doesn’t mean my hyperness is going to go away,” I stuck my tongue out at them.

“This makes me feel better that I’m not famous,” Shiloh chuckled while flipping the page of a magazine she’s reading. I stuck my tongue out at her too. “How about you two stop flirting and sit down with us, eh?”

“Flirting?” I heard Louis shout out from the distance. “Me flirting with that thing?”

“Louis!” I yelled back with my hands propped on my hips. “I’d still like my candy bag back!”

He shook his head in a childish manner and actually started to unzip it. “I wonder what you have in here… Oh Reeses!”

I bolted after him again, dodging the trees he stealthily zoomed past. I stopped a while to catch my breath. I glanced around the area we’re in. It had become a forest to where we are. Why would Liam have a backyard like this? “Louis!” I cried out. I sat down on the debris floor and pretended to sob. Maybe that’ll get his attention.

“Kenzie? Kenzie, are you crying?” He yelled out to me. I can hear his footsteps coming closer, so I placed my head into my knees and wrapped my arms around it to make my crying more believable. “Oh my god, Mackenzie, I’m sorry! You can have your candy back.” Through my fake tears, I saw him kneel next to me and pat my shoulder, he was holding out the bag to me. “Here, take it. I didn’t know it was so important to you.”

By the distance he is away from me, it instantly got my face turning crimson. Out of all the lads, this immature boy is the only one that gets my heart skipping each beat and my mind going haywire. He is seriously too cute to even describe.

I wiped away the tears I have successfully created on purpose and smiled sweetly at the fellow carrot lover. I snatched the bag from his hands swiftly and popped up to my feet. “It really isn’t, but thanks though,” I replied in my normal way. He gaped at me and stood up onto his feet.

“Well, well, well. Fantastically played, Kenzie.”

“I try,” I shrugged. “You think it’s about time you act your age, Boobear.”

“Me? Act my age? Where‘s the fun in that, love?” He stepped closer to me, leaving me stuck between him and a tree. My breathing quicken at how closer he is once again. He seriously has to stop teasing like this, my heart is about to explode! “If I ever did act my age, I won’t be able to do this.” He leaned in so horribly closer, so that our lips were only inches away. If this is his way to admit he likes me, then I guess I wouldn’t mind a sweet kiss.
