“Bianca!”

I smiled widely at my group of friends that were huddled around a table of the library. Ah, the perfect place to meet before our first class starts. Each of the girls’ faces had a look of excitement. What the hell did I miss? I can’t help it if I’m the last one of the posse to join in. I’m the kind of girl that likes spending time to get things ready for the day.

“What’s going on? Your joyous moods are way too happy for me in the morning,” I told them once I stood right next to them. The girls giggled in such a girly way. It goes to show that this was about a certain guy because all our guy friends were talking amongst themselves, excluded from the gleeful gals.

“New boy,” Emma sighed with glazed eyes. “Tan, toned, tall--”

“Ooh, this boy is a triple T,” I joked around.

“And he’s British! Fucking British!” Brittany squealed. All the girls shrieked along with her. This is so odd, it’s not usual that all the girls would agree to one thing. This is too damn weird for me to cope within this time of day!

But I’ll admit, British guys with accents are hot. “British? How did yall find out about him?” I asked curiously.

“He just walked in here just minutes before you did, he was with a teacher; who I think was giving him a tour. And when he talked, you just melt,” Violet told me. She snapped her fingers. “You melt just that quickly.”

“Wow, and I missed him? I have the most rotten luck,” I pouted. I peeked outside into the hallway. “Maybe we can find him, he shouldn’t have gone so far.”

“Good idea!” all the girls exclaimed.

“Shh, you all are too loud,” the librarian hissed at us. I rolled my eyes. You don’t have to tell me twice lady.

There were 6 of us. There were the twins, Alyssa and Brittany, who dress differently but act the same. There’s Violet, the proud African American who I am happy to call my sister from another mister. Halle, a short white chick who I adore for always being there. And Emma, seriously my own blonde twin, we act so much alike, it’s creepy. As I, Bianca, being a dark skinned Filipina, completed the group. We were a joyful lot, and I wouldn’t change it. We all walked the same way everyday, down towards the end of one side of the school and walk upstairs, as that’s where all our classes were for first period.

The girls were searching all over for this mysterious fresh European boy. I was glad Halle wasn’t as obsessed, so we conversed naturally on our way to class. We strolled closer but then we found ourselves being blocked by a crowd of people. It was like paparazzi swarming a well known actor.

“There he is!” Violet pointed out.

I saw him slightly. The number of classmates around him was unbelievable, is this boy really that interesting?

I started to push through the crowd, I just want to be in class. Emma grasped my wrist, she didn’t pull bag but she held on to dear life so she won’t get lost in the crowd. “Bianca, are you going to him?” she asked loudly over the people.

“No,” I told her with disgust, “I want to get to class, damn it!” I let my friends go in front of me so they can take their time staring after the new kid. I rolled my eyes but followed after. From walking up the stairs, I was able to see him clearly enough. Man, my friends were not lying. He was incredibly good looking, he was absolutely dashing, his ocean blue eyes and chocolate brown, layered, swooped hair stood out to me the most. Then the more I looked at him, the more perfect his looks came to be. He was fairly tall enough for me, he has a good body, and he had this charismatic smile that makes girls swoon. I shook my head.
