Chapter 2

*Jacob POV*

Me and Bella are sitting on the couch, watching Spongebob, cause we're big kids. The kids are now at Santo's they decided that they wanted to stay the night last night. It's only eight, which means none of them are gonna be awake for at least the next four hours.

Bella grabbed my hand and started playing with my fingers.

"I'm happy we've made it this far. I can't image my life without you." She said. I smiled.

"Me either." I told her.

Bella was gonna continue speaking, but the doorbell rang.

"I got it, mami." I said, getting up and walking to the door. When I answered it, I couldn't believe who I saw.

"Hey, Maya." I said, smiling.

"Hey, Jacob. I was wondering if you wanted to go to lunch today. I know it's been a while, but maybe we could catch up." She said. I was gonna answer, but someone came behind me.

"Who's at the door, baby?" I heard them ask before reaching me.

Bella wrapped her arm around my waist and smiled at Maya.

"Hey, I'm Bella, Jacob's wife." She introduced herself. I wish she wouldn't have introduced herself like that.

"I'm Maya, an old friend." Maya said.

"That's a pretty name." Bella said, smiling.

"Thanks." Maya answered.

"So, yeah, breakfast sounds good. We can go now, if Bella doesn't mind." I said, changing lunch to breakfast. I looked at Bella who smiled at me.

"Of course, babe. Have fun. Don't forget that we have Rose's recital tonight at six." She reminded me. I nod.

"I'll be back before that. Is it cool if I ride with you Maya?" I asked, slipping my shoes on.

"Of course." She said. I pecked Bella's lips.

"I love you." I said.

"I love you too. Have fun." Bella answered. Bella is great, at everything. She just rules at life, that's how awesome she is.

I walked out the house, closing the door behind me.

"So, how have you been?" I asked Maya.

"Good, I just broke up with my boyfriend not to long ago. But how are you?" She asked.

"Great, my three year anniversary with my wife was four days ago, we have two kids now." I said, smiling.

"Oh, that's good." Maya said, frowning a little.

"Yeah." I said.

"Well, what do you want to do?" She asked.

"We could just go to your place and catch up or something." I suggested.

-At Maya's house-

"So, we could watch a movie, I guess." Maya said, plopping down on her couch.

I sat next to her, keeping my distance. This is my ex, I don't want anything to go down. She shows up randomly, right after a break up? I have my baby, I don't want to lose her. "What movies do you have?"

"I don't know, there is a shelf right there." She pointed to it.

I stood up and walked to it. I picked a happy movie. Nothing scary or gross. I don't any reason for her to be all on me. I sound cocky, but I really do not want anything to go down. I don't really trust Maya, she has no boundaries.
