She didn't know what was happening the last thing she remembered was he light being shut out from her and the feeling sheer terror. The feeling that she would never be able to return to what once was... But what was it that she feared not being able to return to?She couldn't remember. well she couldn't remember as a whole, Just bits and pieces. She opens her eyes to the sound of sound of stone cracking, wincing at the sudden light. She didn't know how long it had been sense she saw light but it felt like years. The light was coming from a crack in what looked like a wall. No it couldn't be a wall. It was round, no edges... She was in a curled position head ticked into her knees, arms wrapped around he legs. Her joints felt stiff, really stiff, like they hadn't been moved in ages. Which they hadn't... Slowly she lifts her head towards the light. It hurt her eyes but she craved it. She hadn't had it in so long, and she needed it. She breaks from her curled position and stretches her legs. It feels good but it's hard. Her legs are sore from lack of movement, and she doubts she will be able to walk right away. She releases her arms from around he legs and touches her face, it's covered in a thin layer of dirt. She continuously stares at the crack in front of her. It was small barely big enough to but he hand through. Her eyes had adjusted to the light she hadn't seen in so long by naw and she was what to see more. Suddenly ok instinct she holds her hand out I front of her then beings two fingers two her mouth dabbing them on her tongue. She then holds he hand out away from her body palm face up. She focused and then watched a small flame come to life, dancing in the palm of her hand... "It's living light" she though as its warmth surrounded her. For a moment she just watched the flame intensely but it soon became difficult to breathe due two the small amount of oxygen in the stone cocoon she was in. She let the flame die, watching as it was whisper from existence as of it was never there.... That's when suddenly she herd a sound coming from beyond her stone prison. It sounded like a mans voice she could barley make out him saying "look man I'm telling you the tree is this way!" Then a second voice saying " how can you possibly know that? We are in a forest they all look the same!" The girl couldn't help but chuckle at this. Two men fighting over a tree.... It was pointless. It made her curious as to why finding a certain tree was so important though, so she got to her knees and crawled to the small opening. She got up real close to it and looked through the intrusion made in the stone surface all she could see was a brown wood like substance that she recognized as roots and assorted small green plants hat she recognized as weeds, grass, and moss. It was beautiful.. The colors... So far all she had seen was the red-orange of the flame, the black that stood behind her, the white from the light and the dark brown that was illuminated around the opening of what held her. But this color was beautiful. So vibrant. She wanted to see more colors she decided along with find out why finding s tree was so important. So she started digging around the jagged opening making it bigger. After a fair amount of time and hard work, a waist length brunette hairs girl draped in dirt covered colorful scarves and layers of clothing emerged from the earth not looking a day older than the day she had entered it.
