One Step Closer

Competition Day

A/N: Sorry for the short last chapter,but I promise this one will be longer and really good I hope. I may consider a little injury for snow this chapter but I'm not making any promises I will try to make this a good chapter cause it's really hard to think but sometimes the words just come out. But anyways hope you guys enjoy this chapter!

Snow's POV:

I wake up to the buzzing alarm on my phone. I check the time,it's 3:00am and I realize it's time for me to get up to get ready. I send a text to Merida saying I will meet her at school in 30. She replies okay. I jump in the shower and shower as quickly as possible,when I finish I put my hair in a bun and stuff my straightener and my curling iron and makeup in my bag. After I finish those 3 I get dressed into my Varsity Archery Team sweatpants and T-shirt and Jacket. Once I finish I grab my backpack,binder,& my bow and arrows. I rush down to the kitchen and grab a box of 24 blueberry muffins. Merida and I have to stock up on carbohydrates before the competition. While I'm there I grab a gallon of milk and a gallon of water and stick them in a bag. I then rush and run to school and I meet Merida at the gym. When I get into the gym there are targets ready, I'm guessing they want us to practice shooting before we go. We don't have to leave for another hour so that gives us time stretch and warm up. After we warm up we grab our bows and arrows and we shoot at our targets. Merida makes all bullseyes and so do I. I think we have a great chance of winning for our school, but I don't want to be super over confident. The coaches tell us it is now time to leave to get on the bus. So coache Granny and Ruby (my best friend) tell us to grab our things (duffel bags,Makeup,Bows,Arrows,&food. We make our way to the bus when I see someone running to me. I try to figure out who it is because it is really dark at 4:45am. But when he gets closer I see its Charming he runs up to me and says " I'm sorry but I can't make it an emergency came up this morning and I have to go and deal with it. So I came to say goodbye and tell you good luck and I know you will do great." "Thank you"I say as I hug him tightly and Kiss him. I get onto the bus and wave thru the window. He waves back and blows a kiss at me. The bus removes itself from the parking lot. Merida,Ruby,& Me all sit together. I bring out the box of muffins and everyone grabs some. I eat like maybe 3-4 and Merida and Ruby eat 5. So that leaves us with about 10 muffins left, that way we still have some for later to snack on. I'm Leaning on the window with my comfy pillow and I'm slowly drifting off. I'm in a deep sleep. I starting to go into a dream and it turns out to be a nightmare. I wake up sweaty and screaming. I'm hyperventilating because im scared. Ruby and Merida wake up at the sound of me screaming. They ask what is wrong. I tell them I had a nightmare and it was about today's competition. "What happened in your dream"? Ruby asks me. "Well we were there and it was my turn when I shot my arrow I made a bullseye. Charming came over and hugged me when he did somebody......shot......somebody from another school shot an arrow through me. I fell slowly to the ground and he held me in his arms and he said I love you crying. I told him I loved him too and he kissed my head and I slowly faded and I closed my eyes. And I died." I told Ruby and Merida crying. Ruby has her hands over her mouth and she comes and hugs me crying. "It will be okay I wouldn't let that happen to you." She says. Merida tells me " it will be alright mate you'll be just fine and if anyone tries to hurt you they will have to go through me first." "Thank you" I whisper as they embrace me. I check my phone and see its 7:30 and I see that we just got into Oz. That 3 hour drive went by fast after having that nightmare. We arrive at the hotel. So we get off and grab our things. Ruby,Merida,& I go sit down while we wait for granny to check us in. We are on the top floor and the room we have had a nice view of the city. We put our stuff down and we spread out in the bed. It's 8am but we don't have to get ready until 5:00 so we chill out and decide to watch television. There's nothing on then I see a movie it's called the hunger games it's where this girl named katniss wants to rebel against the Capitol so all the districts can be free from the capitols rule. It's actually really good I remember reading the books they were good. I'm dying to see the next one that comes out in 2 weeks. It's amazing honestly my babe Charming is taking me to go see it. I finish the movie and I fall asleep and so does Merida and Ruby. I wake up from a text from my boo saying "hey beautiful hope u got there safely not a day goes by that I don't think of you. Your going to do well I will be cheering you on I love you so much good luck babe❤️." I reply "I love you too and thanks". I check the time and it's 5. I wake up Merida and say "Merida wake up its 5 we have to get ready." I shake her awake. She wakes up and says "okay mate I'm up chill". I get up off the bed and I grab my duffel bag with my clothes and I go into the bathroom and change. I put on my uniform and I throw my warmups over my uniform. I start on my makeup and my hair I straighten it and then I curl it. Merida comes in and has her uniform and warmups on too. She asks if I can do her makeup and her hair. I make her red hair curly with a frimper {similar to straightener but it curls her hair}. I do her make up and do some light blush and lip gloss and some mascara. She looks amazing. I take a picture with me,Merida,& Ruby. In our outfits. I send the picture to charming,he replies back and says I look beautiful. I say thank you with an emoji💋 Love you. We grab our gear and bows and arrows. We hop into the bus and drive to Oz academy which is 15 minutes from hotel. We get there and we get off the bus and walk into the school to check in. I see people from different realms and schools. We check in and head to the area reserved for us.

[45 Minutes Later]

It is time for Merida to go because it's her turn. So I go and watch her and she is the highest scoring person so far. She scored all bullseyes.

Now it's my turn I grab my bows and arrows and I go and take my place. I shoot my first arrow and i shoot it straight into the middle,I shoot my 2nd one and I shoot through the first one,but before I can shoot my 3rd I turn around by the sound of a whistle and it's charming. When I shoot my 3rd it goes through the last one and I score a perfect 30.00. Then all of a sudden an arrow comes and slices my hand. I fall to the floor and I scream in pain,the medics come and take care of it. They wrap it in cloth that way it stops the bleeding. Charming comes and holds me In his arms. I tell him "why are u here I thought u had and emergency." "It ended early and I wanted to suprise you". Well he definitely suprised me alright. He picks me up and we walk around a little bit. "I told you you would do amazing,you and Merida tied for 1st place". He says to me. I kiss him and tell him thank you for coming. He kisses me and I don't pull back. I just let him kiss me. We make our way to the awards ceremony. They announce 3rd place which is Tinker Bell from Neverland Prep. 2nd place Is Ariel from Misthaven Academy and 1st place goes to me and Merida. They give us a huge trophy and 2 gold medals,a competition t-shirt,& jacket. We take our things and we get on the bus. We drive to the hotel and we drop everything in our room. Once we do that we change into the t-shirt and warmups, we brush our teeth and take off our make up. It's 10:46pm and I'm really tired so we lay down and I drift off to sleep with a smile on my face knowing that I represented well and I made my charming proud.
