Actually it has nothing to do with them but more with their parents Katie's mom and Patricia's mom who are sisters where in the car with their husbands. They got into a terrible car accident on the way back home from a Cinderella concert. Cinderella was a rock band back in the 80's and late 90's. They were hit by an oncoming car who wasn't paying attention to the lights because the driver was busy looking for their phone.

The other person in the other vehicle wasn't damaged that much

she had bruises and scars and a broken nose due to the airbag. Our parents on the other hand weren't so lucky my mom was left with bruises and scratches and road burns my dad had broken bones and had to get stiches on his face when the window shield broke. Patricia's mom was sent to the hospital with my dad and her dad.

he forgot to put on his seat belt and he hit head on the back of front seat he also had a stick or something through his throat. when we made it to the hospital he went flat line. So Patricia thinks that it was my mom's fault that her dad is d.e.a.d so that is why she doesn't like me or my mom or dad. Since Brandon is dating Pat I wanted to see if he would get jealous because it would let me know if he stills cares about me.

So I started to hang out with rob and talk to him a lot more. Will Brandon get jealous or not care at all will Patricia ever forgive Katie for what she thinks her mom did. I guess you will have to read on and find out. There are lots of twist and turns in this book.
