Lana's (P.O.V)

Lana sat in the back of Dean's car, a mulish expression on her face. She was determined to ice him out for at least another week.  Rounding out his punishment to a nice four months. That's how long it had been, four months since they left Luxuria and that whole nightmare with Ria ended. So why did it feel like it was only yesterday? "Oh come on, you can't stay mad at me forever Kitkat." She tossed a glare at Dean and folded her arms over her chest. "Don't tempt me" she snapped. Her tone giving him a clear ' fuck off ' signal. He sighed and she spared him another glance, he looked like a puppy who just got news papered. She almost felt sorry for him. Almost.

The car rolled to a stop and she wasted no time hopping out, suddenly she couldn't wait any longer. She slammed the door shut, her gaze seeking her target, and when it came into view her heart swelled. Before she could think better of it she took off running. "William!" she jumped him before he could fully turn around, but he caught her anyways. Squeezing her to him before swinging her around and making her laugh. "Hey Lala" he murmured a rare smile on his face. She beamed one back at him and let him lower her to her feet. She felt him finger a lock of her hair and for some odd reason it made her blush. "It got longer" he commented.

She looked down at her feet and nudged a pebble with the tip of her platform sandals. True to his word her hair was now waist length, the dark brown strands now a lighter auburn. Dean sauntered up to them, obviously annoyed and tossed a bright pink duffel bag at William. "How is it that I save your sorry ass and yet I'm still the bad guy?" William chuckled and caught the bag, releasing her hair to do so.  Lana sobered at the reminder of what took place a few months ago. Despite her current anger at him, she couldn't forget just how much Dean did for her, for William...

A few months back...

Lana sat curled in William's lap, taking reassurance in his warmth that he was actually here and he wasn't laying in his own blood on the floors of Luxuria. Dean sat across from them explaining to her everything that had happened after they split up. How he had stumbled upon William and Ria, and then shown a image of her being held captive. How Ria had then told them to fight or she would have her killed. Dean knew they wouldn't have gotten out of there unless one of them died and it was obvious Ria was gunning for William so he took a chance. Dean told her how they had to make the fight look real so Ria wouldn't catch on to the fact that it was an act. He knew it was a long shot considering she wasn't actually present, but when William let him land that blow to his face he sent an image to her mind of him lunging forward and stabbing William. Of course, to make it work he had to broadcast it almost like a signal to anybody nearby.

So when she came along he couldn't dispel it or Ria would know the truth and he couldn't tip her off either. So the best solution was to drug her and haul ass out of there. She could barely stop her mouth from hanging open when he was finished. First thing she felt was gratitude, then shock, then fear of what would have happened if it didn't go as planned and last but not least. Anger. She couldn't believe he had her believe William was dead. Dead! Her heart literally broke when she saw him laying there so still she thought she had lost him forever, would never see him again. Never have him show her those rare smiles that were reserved specially for her. Never hear his soothing voice calling her name... It had been to much and even though a part of her knew Dean was only doing the best he could another part was to anger to see reason, to hurt to care, and to ashamed...because the scary thing was at that moment, even though she knew Dean had killed him, or at least thought he had, her feelings for Dean hadn't changed. He had even made her feel safe, calm, protected. And Lana didn't want to deal with what that meant or what she thought it meant.

So she stayed mad at him and at herself. And tried her best to avoid being around him. And she was successful for a month or two until the official announcement for the start of the tournament was issued. She now had sixty days to prepare for the tournament and decide who she would take with her into Dream. She would need any help she could get and that included Dean. A day after the announcement William left town to "attend to business" whatever that meant, and told Dean and her to meet him at his family cabin. It was secluded and hardly occupied.

Present...

Two weeks later and here they were. William and Dean were in a heated discussion about the supposed merits of being 'The Bad Guy' but something she noticed ever since their escape from Luxuria is that a lot of that tension between them was gone. She could tell they probably still wanted to rip each others head off but she didn't feel like she had to worry about them actually doing it. What she couldn't figure out was what brought on the change.

William turned back to her and ran his gaze down her body. "That's what you're wearing?" he asked, his tone doubtful. She looked down at her white destroyed skinny jean and beige lace halter. She thought it was casual with a dash of sexy so she threw him a confused look.

He shared her confusion for a moment before turning a knowing look to Dean. "You didn't tell her" he stated. Dean shrugged and wondered off towards the cabin completely avoiding the topic. Lana rose an eyebrow at his behavior and then pinned William with a stern look. "Tell me what?"

William's (P.O.V)

She looked pissed with a capital P yet hot as hell fire. She wore tight workout shorts and a sports bra leaving him to admire her perfect figure and smooth skin. He couldn't keep his gaze from wondering over her, how on earth was he going teach her anything when she was looking like that? Already he felt like he needed to reach into his pants and adjust himself. Considering she didn't know she would be training, he had no doubt that Dean had been the one to select her current outfit. He didn't know if he should punch Dean or thank him. Lana tossed her hair up into a quick bun and stood with her hands on her hip.

"This is ridiculous, I know how to fight." she mumbled. He snorted and she glared at him. He gave her a "let's be realistic" look and she huffed. "I can" she protested. "Fine, then if you can pin me in five minutes we skip training, If I pin you, you do what I say for the duration that you're here." William knew Lana had basic fighting skills. After all, one just simply didn't grow up in Paradox being helpless as a babe but she didn't have nearly enough skill to cut it in the tournament. She smirked and gave a stretch, "deal." William grinned. This was gonna be so easy.
