Gaara's P.O.V
I don't know how this could have happened or what to say to the kids every time they ask where their mommy is. If i ever see Itachi again i'll make sure he never lives to see the light of day again.
I haven't seen Crystal in years. All i heard is Itachi put a justu over her mind making her join the Akaski. I've heard from people that she is The Broken Jewel. She kills without hesitation, but they said that tears were always present of her face.
One day a Chunin ran into my office screaming The Broken Jewel, Crystal, she is here, right outside the main gate. There was only a moments hesitation before i took off as fast as i could towards the gate. Could it really be her? What has happened to her? Will she still recognize me?
I made it to the gate and there a little ways off in the sand stood the only person to have truly made it past my shell and loved me for who i was. She looked the same only tears were streaming down her face.
: " Cr...Crystal. "
Crystal: " Gaara i can't control what my body does. I'm under the control of Itachi. "
That teme!: " Where is he?! "
Crystal: " He isn't here. Even if you managed to kill him the justu wouldn't go away. "
I put my head in my hands trying to keep focused.
Crystal: " Gaara look out!! "
I jumped out of the way of Crystal kick. Her foot connected with the ground, a 3 feet deep 7 feet wide carter appeared.
Crystal: " You have to stay focused! They make me attack at every chance i get. "
She took out a few shiriken and threw them at me. I let my sand block them all. When the sand dropped i felt a new presence beside me. Glancing to the side i saw Dashyte standing ready to fight. She was almost glaring at her mother.
: " What are you doing here? "
Dashyte: " I'm here to kick some sense into mom. "
: " Go home. "
Dashyte: " What?! I've graduated from the academy at 9 and i'm already a Chunin. I can help. "
: " Not against your mother you can't. She's to dangerous. "
Dashyte: " I don't care. I want my mom to come back home. "
She ran at Crystal pulling out her sword as she ran.
Crystal: " No Dashyte! Leave now before it's to late! "
I jumped in the way of Crystal before she could run at Dashyte. She was looking down, her tears still flowing down her cheeks.
Crystal: " Please...just end it now. "
: " How? "
Crystal: " Kill me. "
Unimaginable shock and pain went through me when she said that. I couldn't believe she would ask me to do that. : " You know i could never do that. "
She looked up at me, a mix of a frown and a smile on her face. I held her hands before she could reach for anymore weapons. Dashyte walked up beside me and sighed.
Dashyte: " Why must you get into so much trouble mom? "
Crystal: " I don't know. There must be something about me that likes finding it. "
Dashyte laughed and reached forward poking Crystal's forehead.
Crystal: " Thank you Dashyte. "
Then she just collapsed onto the ground. Her tears had stopped, they were now replaced with a smile.
