It was the morning of the reaping. After the 75th Hunger Games Katniss was sure there would be no more but Snow had other ideas. All of Panem was called early to the reaping for President Snow had an announcement to make. The city was dreading the type of announcement the President could possibly have to tell them.

Katniss rubbed the back of her neck, her eyes still closed as she tried to make it out of her bed. Her face was puffed up and it looked like she hadn't slept in days. She made herself toast and took a bite, but it just wouldn't go down. She felt nostalgic thinking of the days where her and Gale would hunt just to bring home food for their families so they wouldn't starve. Everything was so different now, she had all the food she could possibly want, and she couldn't even swallow it down. She had gotten use to having all this food, she forgot what the old her felt like, what being famished felt like. She gave up on eating and went straight to her room to change. She knew that her and Peeta would have some kind of formal greeting at the reaping. So she pulled out the dress that Cinna had designed for her before he was killed. This dress she had never worn before. It was a black dress that covered her legs and had a small train. The back was all open but in an elegant style, with gold specks covering the entire dress. Little gold beads went down her shoulders and back. She felt beautiful. She always did in any of Cinna's designs.

As Katniss finished getting ready there was a knock on her door. She opened it to find Peeta in a white suit with gold collars against his neck. His blond hair had been gelled back. She offered him a worried smile.

"Hey." He gave her a small smile in return.

"Peeta" She whispered, worry filled in her voice.

"We're going to be fine." He nodded, trying to reassure himself as well as her. "We've beaten him twice, Katniss."

"I'm just so tired of being a piece in his games." Her voice was a growl. "What more could he possibly have to throw at us?"

"We won't be." Peeta then held his arm out to her and she looped hers around his.

They were on the train in no time. Glorious amounts of food spread on the table. The same thing all over again. They didn't even need a train to get to the reaping, but since they were winners of the Hunger games twice and famous for their known love, the star-crossed lovers had to take the train with Haymitch and Effie once again.

Peeta was looking out the window at the passing trees. He felt uneasy, his eyebrows furrowed, lips pulled in between his teeth. Katniss stood by him, gently holding his hand. When he intertwined his fingers with hers, she squeezed hoping to ease his anxiety as much as she was hoping to calm her own nerves.
