Veronica
Even with the meds it doesn't help
My mind is spinning I can hear the violent screams of the sick minded people in here,
I don't see how someone could become so distant in their own mind.I try to think of something pleasant but the only thing coming to mind is her.
Holding her as we lay together, caressing her small curved side with my hand and holding her close, her gorgeous pale blonde hair brushes my face. I can't help but think about her, Her light blue eyes and luminous complexion.
It's torture.She's not here
Though.
And the bad thoughts start spinning in.
The day we were sitting across the table from each other
Her and my old friend now, holding hands across the table hidden from me and her nearly emotionless words "I can't be with you anymore"
It seemed as if she was a totally different person
She was always my baby,
She got hurt so easily.
And now she's hurting me.
How do you say you love someone just to turn around and say it to their best friend.I'm done.
If I'm to get out of here I can't think of her,
It'll only make my condition worse. It's only been around 40 minutes since I've tried to goto sleep. The Guards check in every hour on the dot.
Just my luck.
I'll never have privacy here.
My door slowly creeks open,
A woman with short black hair and olive skin appears.
She's gorgeous, her name tags reads "Alex.""Hey"
Her voice whispers, I feel as if I've been saved just the presence of a person makes everything better. These walls seem to suck you in and an hour can feel like days.
"Psst... Are you ok?"
Oh yes I'm fine sorry. I reply calmly trying not to blush
"Okay well sorry to wake you up but it's a mandatory check up every hour. You're a new patient right?"
I nod.
"Well between you and I, I heard your story. you don't seem crazy, just sad..."
She became quiet.
"Well I'll let you sleep now dar...patient 453"
She smiled at me before closing the door quietly.
Was she going to call me darling?
That just made this place not so gloomy, I'd better try to sleep if I'm going to get a check in every hour.Morning.
A sliver of light shines through my window.
The room is still and it seems as if even the dust won't move waiting for me to rise, and regenerate it's movement.
I take a deep breath,
And the dust begins to dance.
I must have slept through all of my other check ups.
Maybe my pills kicked in? I pear out the barred window on my door, no one.
So I slightly open my door and stick my head out hello?
I hear foot steps, it's Alex.
"Sorry I was late."
Oh I didn't realize, I just woke up.
"Well we best be getting you to the cafeteria"
Alex walked me down intertwining halls, a confusing system they'd set up here, Once again I felt lost.
