She seemed frantic about my episode,
She held my arm as the nurses took me to solitary.
Where I would spend the next few nights. Alex snuck some of my books into there, she knew I liked to read.
She'd surely get fired if she were to get caught.
No one had ever been so pleasant to me, why?
Why was she doing all of this for me?

Kaden
I felt awful.
Doing this to Chris, was it worth betraying her trust? Just to get high?
Would it just be one?

I yelled
And was on my way to the clouds.

Veronica
Turns out solitary lasts two weeks, minimum,
It's been two weeks, of hell.
I've had time to think. I fall in love too quickly, but maybe it's what I need to mend my broken soul?
Does Alex know I like her?

My cell door opens, and my thoughts scramble.
Where's Alex? I ask the guard
"She's been put on a temporary suspension"
What? Why? I say startled
"Security cameras caught your little friend sneaking dangerous materials into your solitary cell"
Since when are books dangerous material?
I hold my tongue from saying, books are so dangerous, oh lord I may give myself a paper cut!

He must've seen me crumbling inside because as he brought me back to my room he said
"Don't worry, her suspension ends tomorrow."
My hope was restored.
Maybe this place isn't so bad.

Alex wondered what may be to come of her and Veronica, she'd never felt so strongly of the same sex. Just something about Veronica was so intriguing, so different.
