Three

My heels were clicking throughout the hallways making loud echoes each time I took a step. I felt powerful, but super duper helpless.

What was I going to do when Barry got to work? Would we pretend it never happened or what?

I was going over information we learned about Barry from the past few months. Around 30 minutes later Barry was "fashionably late" for work like usual. A streak of red followed behind him when all the papers flew in the air.

"Seriously Barry again"
"Sorry Cait" Barry said with a smirk.

Things were going normal until then. After our very short conversation everything was awkward again. I had no clue how to break the ice between us. I was wishing that anyone would come in the door to break this silence.

It wasn't the type of silence that occurred yesterday which I hate.

"Caitlin.. We should talk about what happened yesterday"
"No, no we don't have to"
"Yes we do"

He stared into my eyes and I stared into his. I felt butterflies in my stomach. I felt like a high school girl again each time she saw her crush. I was absolutely scared to talk about my feelings.

Why am I so nervous. I am a grown adult with a job. Let's be professional I thought to myself. As I calmed down Barry spoke softly with a gentle voice.

"Cait about yesterday, it was nothing. Don't worry about it"

"What! What does that mean Barry? Was that all nothing?!"

I felt stupid. Things were happening so quickly. I didn't even realize I was yelling. Are my feelings getting played with or does Barry really think it was "nothing".

Barry's Pov
Caitlin was yelling, she's getting emotional. At the moment I didn't understand why. It took a minute to hit me. Did I hurt her feelings? Yesterday felt complicated. It was all new. I've never been in a situation like that. It's crazy that she made out with my clone. I'm a tad jealous. I took a long deep sigh as Caitlin watched me while her eyes were starting to water.

"Caitlin I'm sorry. Yesterday wasn't nothing it was something."

"In all honesty I liked yesterday. When I heard you say you kissed my clone I felt a bit jealous" I chuckled a bit.

A small smile was starting to form on her face. That's good.

"If you're feeling the same way I am would you like to hang out tomorrow night at 8?"

"YES! Oh um that sounds great actually. Pick me up?"

"Two big thumbs up" I say with a grin.

YES IVE GOT A DATE!

I'm sorry for not updating for a year. I just sort of lost track of time. After seeing all the comments in the last chapter I felt warm at the heart so I'm thinking about continuing updating again. However I have to catch up on the show again. I'm a bit rusty in writing and the Flash. Please bear with me I'm not that punctual.
