Snow sat in the windowsill of her nest, letting the cool air from the cold machine ruffle her fur. Looking over at the neighboring house, she saw her best friend Sun, who looked straight at Snow. Snow nodded and waited for Sun to nod back. She then hopped out of the windowsill and padded to the exit of her house, scratching at it until the twoleg came and let her out. She waited in the grass for Sun to come out. She eventually came out and stood beside Snow, looking around their large neighborhood. "If we want to leave soon, we'd better get the others and plan when to go." Sun meowed. Snow nodded. "You get them on our side of the path, and I'll get them from the other side of the path. We'll meet beside the big oak in the forest. Okay?" Snow meowed back, glancing into the forest. Sun nodded. "See you there." She meowed, before racing off to get the other cats. Snow dipped her head and went off as well.***
Snow padded into the forest with the five cats following behind her in silence. As they neared the clearing, they saw that Sun and the other cats had already arrived and were waiting for Snow. The pure white shecat padded into the clearing, motioning for the other cats to gather around a large stone that she stood on.
"Now, we've been planning to leave for a while now, but we need to find out who really wants to go," she started out. "Any cat who wants to stay here and live the life of a house cat, stand by the tree stump. Anyone who wants to go, stand by the rock pile. " she meowed.
Every cat in the clearing padded to the rock pile.
Sun stepped up onto the rock next to Snow. "Now that it is clear that we're all going, we must plan when to go."
A few murmurs saying 'we should leave today' spread around the clearing, but no one spoke aloud. Snow looked over the cats. None of them were lazy, old, or sensitive, so she knew one time would be good for them.
"Get back to you're nests, eat good, and sleep well, my friends. We meet here tomorrow, just before dawn, and leave at sun high. Dismissed."
And with that, the cats left the clearing and headed back to there homes for one last visit of there owners.
"And be prepared for travel!"
