Day 1

Beep, beep, beep.
I open my eyes dreading today. This is so not happening to me. I might as well do something useful, so I start packing. I pack ten outfits and most of my shoes. Breakfast sounds like a good idea right now. I go downstairs head to the kitchen and make eggs and bacon.
After I have eaten and finished getting ready I go to the TV and turn on Netflix because there is nothing better to do. Since I forgot to mention, my name is Bailey Black; I hate the name but it is what it is.
At 7 o'clock I decide to pick up one of the many books on my bookshelf, but before I start reading I pick my favorite books to pack. I pick The Mortal Instruments series and The Infernal Devices trilogy both by Cassandra Clare. Then I start the book. I will read until 9:30 when my parents wake up.
At 10:30 my parents are both in the living room in their usual attire of formal business suits. They look ready to interrogate and I know what's coming next.
"Do you have all of your things packed yet?" Mom asks me.
"Yes I respond not wanting to look at her.
"Its only for the best." Mom always says the chestiest things. "Really because from how I see things if you really wanted the best you would try to understand and believe me." I am trying to control my temper. I should have went with my gutter instinct and never told them.
"Its just-"
"Its just nothing mom. Don't make excuses."
My dad who has been silent all this time suddenly spoke up:
"We don't want to do this but you are not a little girl, you shouldn't be making up stories about things that aren't possible."
"Now you know why I never tell you anything. I'm glad I won't have to see you for a while. Lets go now." I say with force.
With nothing more to say we pack all of my stuff into our Ford Escalade. With the hour and a half drive ahead of us I pop in my ear buds and take out a book.

Forty minutes later my parents atop at Barnes and Noble. This was unplanned. Mom least back over the passenger seat and hands me two twenties.
"Go get a couple of books."
I stare at her not believing that she is serious.
"Go before I change my mind."
And with that I'm off. Twenty minutes later I have picked out the perfect books. I head back to the car slightly less mad.

All too soon its time to say goodbye. I take all of my luggage out of the car. Then I say my goodbyes. One of the dormitory cleaning staff asks for my room number then helps me bring my stuff to my room. I'm fortunate enough not to have to share a room.
After Im settled in and all of my things are where I want them I take out my schedule and map and head out the door.
Even though it's a new semester I am the only new kid here. I know this because the lady at the office told me.
Today is just about figuring out where everything is. One thing I quickly figure out is that this place is a very confusing there story maze. I really hope it gets less confusing.
