“I don’t think so, buddy. Where are you and Momma staying?”

“With us.” Pa said watching the interaction.

“We best be going inside.” Ma said sensing the tension.

“Suds, will you sit with us?” Wyatt asked.

“Certainly, little man, let’s go.” Hudson nodded.

All eyes were on Sienna and Wyatt as they all walked in together and sat in the pew. She could feel their eyes on her and she knew they jumped to the same conclusion Charlotte had. Hudson sat next to Wyatt and Logan sat next to her. His hip touched hers and she felt hot instantly. He certainly was attractive, but she knew he hated her so there was no pursuing the attraction. To make herself stop thinking of Logan, she squeezed Wyatt closer. Hudson had taken her and Wyatt in about a year before and she had asked him not to tell anyone; he hadn’t. Wyatt had been taken with Hudson from the very moment they met. She hoped that Logan would warm up to her when she came home but she knew that he never would. It saddened her, all of his brothers knew she liked him.

“Good morning, congregation,” her father started his sermon. “I’m very thankful this morning, and I’ll tell you why. My daughter, Sienna, is home to stay and she’s brought my first grandchild with her. I’m a grandfather. God has certainly blessed me this week. Let’s take a moment to thank God for everything he has done for us.”

Sienna blushed furiously and looked at the ground for the rest of the sermon. Wyatt laid on her lap and fell asleep. She played with his hair that looked exactly like his father’s hair and waited for this catastrophe to be over. Hudson stood and she knew that church was over. She scooped Wyatt up and held him as he continued to sleep.

“Get me out of here, now.” She whispered to Hudson. He nodded and grabbed her free hand. He rushed out the door and walked to her car. She had buckled in Wyatt before Charlotte snapped from behind her, “So ashamed you couldn’t wait to get out of the church.”

“If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it.” Sienna said softly.

“You’re a whore!” Charlotte spat in her face.

“Charlotte, I think you should go.” Hudson said putting his arm around Sienna.

“This is my home, not hers. Are you Wyatt’s father? Do you even know who Wyatt’s father is?” Charlotte snapped at Hudson and Sienna.

“Mommy! Suds!” Wyatt cried inside her car.

“It’s okay, Wyatt. Go back to sleep, baby boy.” Sienna said combing his hair. She turned back to Charlotte, “Stay away from me and my son. It is none of your business.”

“Get lost, Charlotte.” Logan said pulling Sienna’s body against him and holding her there. She didn’t struggle and she tried not to squirm. Every part of her that he touched was on fire. “Leave Sienna and Wyatt alone.”

Charlotte stomped off and Logan sneaked a sniff of Sienna’s hair. “Are you okay?”

She shivered from his hot breath on her neck, “Yes, I’m fine. Thank you both.”

Hudson nodded, “I’m gonna talk to Wyatt real quick, okay?”

Sienna nodded and Hudson walked over to Wyatt’s side of the car. Logan let her go reluctantly and said, “It’s real nice to have you back in town, Sienna. How long are you and the kid staying?”

“I want to raise Wyatt here so we’re back permanently. Why do you ask, Logan?” Sienna said looking up at him.

“I’m just curious is all. It’s been awhile since you were home.”
