Luke's P.O.V

While playing against Calum, Ashton, and Michael, I felt someone staring at me. I noticed Michael's player wasn't moving. I turned my head to see Michael staring at me. He averted his gaze quickly and continued playing. I looked at the screen once again and saw that Calum made a goal.

"GOOOOOOAAAAALL!" he shouted. He high-fived Ashton and rubbed it in my face. "Maybe you should've been playing instead of drooling over Michael. Michael glared at me and huffed.
I defended myself.

"He was staring at me! I caught him staring so I stopped for a second. I wasn't drooling over him. I just met him!" I laughed along with Calum and Ashton but Michael didn't. It looked like he was hurt. He looked down in shame and embarrassment. Maybe he was just mad because we lost.

"Let's just get back to the game," Michael groaned. I raised my eyebrow and thought something serious was going. I decided to ignore it since he looked pretty pissed off at the moment. We continued playing with Calum and Ashton in the lead by 4 points.

The game ended which meant that me and Michael lost. "Yeah!" Calum and Ashton cheered in unison. Michael groaned and ran a hand through his hair. He stood up and went up to me.

"Can I use your bathroom?" he asked.

"Sure, it's down the hall on first left." He thanked me and stormed out the door. Why is he so mad about losing a game?

Michael's P.O.V

Once I found the bathroom I slammed the door and locked it. I slid against the door with my back and started to sob quietly. I buried my face in my hands and let my tears soak them. I can't like him. I just can't. What if he doesn't feel the same? What if he hates me even more? Does he even hate me? What if he's straight? All these thoughts ran through my head as I continued to cry. After what I thought was 10 minutes, I started to feel dehydrated. I went to the sink and drank a handful of water. I looked in the mirror and saw how red and puffy my eyes were. I sniffled as I washed my face and flushed the toilet to make them think I actually used the bathroom. Once I exited, I heard voices coming from Luke's room. I stopped and put my ear near the door. "Is Michael okay? He's been really...distant since he's got here. Does he usually act this way?" I heard Luke ask.

"No. He was fine before we got here. He seemed pretty happy. Maybe he's just exhausted from work. Although, he wasn't really working. It was his first day today and his co-worker showed him around. So, I don't really know what's going on. When you get to know him, he's a pretty fun guy. He'll be fine tomorrow," Ashton answered. I walked down the hall and walked back to Luke's room but made my footsteps loud. I opened the door and saw all three of them staring at me.

"What?" I asked, slowly.

"Nothing," they answered quickly at the same time.

"So, what are we doing now?" I asked. They all shrugged and looked at each other. Then, Luke snapped his fingers and smiled.

"In my basement, my parents have instruments that I like to play all the time. We should go down there and play them." We all agreed and followed Luke down to the basement. He turned on the light and stepped aside so we could see. I looked around the room and saw a drum set, a cajon, 2 electric guitars, 2 acoustic guitars, an electric bass, an acoustic bass, and so much more. I looked at one of the electric guitars and thought it looked familiar. Then I realized it was the guitar I used to have. I smiled and we continued to look around at the equipment for a few minutes before one of us spoke. "So, let's all pick an instrument to play," Luke commanded. We all immediately ran to the instrument we wanted. I chose the black Gibson guitar I used to have, Calum chose the black electric bass, Ashton chose the black drum set, and Luke chose the black and white Fender. "What are we gonna play?" Luke asked,"by the way, I want to be the lead singer.

"I don't know. But are your parents okay with us playing the instruments at 10:45?" Calum asked. Luke shrugged and looked down.

"Why don't we just play with the acoustic instruments? They're not so loud and they sound really good," Luke spoke.

"Sure," Calum replied. Calum put down his bass while me and Luke each grabbed an acoustic guitar and Ashton grabbed the cajon. "So, what are we going to play?" Calum asked, after we got set up.

"I think we should play...a busted song. How about Year 3000?" Luke asked,"do you guys all know how to play that song?"

"Yeah," we all replied. For the next few minutes, we discussed what parts we were each going to sing. Finally, after we came to an agreement, Luke gave Calum his guitar to play. "You guys ready?" Luke asked.

"Yeah," we all replied.

"Okay. 1,2,3,4," Luke counted. I started to play my guitar.

One day, when I came home at lunch time,
I heard a funny noise

Went out to the back yard to find out if it was
One of those rowdy boys

Stood there was my neighbor called Peter
And a Flux Capacitor

He told me he built a time machine
Like the one in a film I've seen
Yeah, yeah

He said "I've been to the year 3000
Not much has changed but they lived underwater
And your great, great, great granddaughter
Is pretty fine, is pretty fine

He took me to the future in the Flux thing and I saw everything
Boy bands and another one and another one... and another one
Triple breasted women swim around town totally naked

During the song, I couldn't stop thinking about Luke. I couldn't stop staring at him. His voice was heaven. He looked so perfect with his bright blue eyes and blond hair. At about halfway through the song, I messed up a chord and all three boys noticed. They immediately stopped playing and singing and turned to look at me. "Sorry. I guess I just forgot the next chord," I lied.

"That's okay," Luke reassured. "You haven't played guitar in a long time, right?" I was confused by how nice he was being to me now.

"I can play... b-but yeah, I haven't p-played in a long t-time," I replied. Luke nodded and took back his guitar from Calum.

"It's getting late. Sh-shouldn't you guys be h-heading home?" Luke mocked and laughed.

"One second, Luke. Michael can I talk to you?" Calum asked.

"Sure?" I replied in confusion. Calum grabbed my arm and took me upstairs so we couldn't be heard. He made me look at him. He had a sorry expression on his face.

"I'm sorry but... I kind of told Luke that... youhavenoplacetolive," He apologized, quickly. I chuckled and shook my head.

"It's okay. Why are you sorry? It's really no big deal. I did tell Ashton and... I feel much better about people knowing now so don't worry." Calum smiled and nodded.

"Luke also told his parents and they said they would keep it a secret. They also said you can live here until you buy a house of your own. Deal or no deal?" He asked.

"Yes."
