It's dark again, and all around me I hear the small sounds of a forest alive. Then comes the rustling that I know all too well. Its's the same every time. I know that he is after me. I run. My legs are giving out but I know that I mustn't stop. I can't let him win this time. Footsteps are getting closer behind me and I push myself to run even faster. "Why are you doing this to me?" I scream. I turn around to get a good look at him. Piercing red eyes burn right back through me and sharp teeth flash in the dark. His movements are smooth and snake-like. The snake-man, I've seen him sk many times that I've names him.

"You stupid little girl", he hissed, "you think you can run from me?" His voice is soft and husky; it sends shivers down my spine. I feel moisture building up behind my eyes and ut blurs my vision. My breath comes out in raspy bursts. I look behind me and instantly regret it when I fall face first on the ground. A fallen branch seems to have appeared out of nowhere. I curl myself up in a ball waiting for the worst to happen but the horror doesn't come. Just as I'm about to stand, I feel something almost slithering across my body. I go to scream but the air rushes out of lungs just before everything goes black.
