Chapter 1: Just a "normal" day

Yuki POV

I walked into the school, holding on to my books as I walked along. I passed by my friends and I waved to them. They waved back and I went to my locker to get my things. I looked at the mirror I had on my locker and saw I was looking well. I smiled and I put my binder away, and my textbooks. I'll just leave them here now since I finished all my English work for Ms. Okami's class.

"Hey, Taurtis look at this!" I heard a familar boy cry. I closed my locker and looked around, curious to know what was up. I checked at the hallway and I saw Sam. I never knew him, but he seemed really childish. Sam got some weird food called Toritos and then threw them at Invader and ran away. "Sam! Why did you do that?" Taurtis said while laughing and running away. They ran past me and I looked at them as they ran all the way to the gym.

I headed to class and I passed by my friend Sookie. "Hey Yuki..." Sookie said while looking down. Since she was my friend, I wanted to help her. She began walking with me while I asked her what was wrong. "What's wrong Sookie?" I asked. She sighed and replied. "Sam, I know I said that I'm lesbian and all but I think I might be getting feelings for him..."

"You like Sam? I thought you didn't, everyone thought so." I said while we made it to class we were there early so we could sit whenever, Okami was just getting the classwork ready. "Well I do I don't know what about him I like... Maybe it's his hair or how he acts or well I don't know. He's really nice and sweet to me." She said while the bell rang, right then everyone started coming back to class and I nodded at Sookie's reply.

"Well just wait for a while maybe you'll like him, I can't see why though he's appalling. "That might be true but I have no idea, I'll think about it." She said while we took our own seats. When class finally started and Okami stopped taking role call we all took a seat. I looked over at Sam and he was fooling around with Taurtis, like always. "I don't get it." I thought. "I thought Sookie didn't like him, everyone doesn't make any sense."

"Ok class! Today you will be assigned partners for a project! The project will be on this very school and what you and your  partner do during school!" Okami said with her usual upbeat attitude. I disliked the assigned partner part though... "Ok so the partners are... Taurtis and Chan, Sookie and Hidden, Dom and Pepe, Patty and Soul, Yuro and PieLord, Ellen and Inavder, Sam and Yuki, J and Silly, finally Star and Jts.

"Jts is dead." Hidden said while I groaned at my partner, my partner was Sam... This won't be easy to deal with. "Wait really?" Silly questioned. I put my head down and tried to avoid partnering up with Sam. "Yeah he went to war in Denmark and was killed..." Hidden said with an upset tone. "Ok class, get together with your partners!" Okami said while she released a firework. "Ok Taurtis! Have fun, I'm going to my partner." I heard Sam say while his voice came closer and closer to me.

"Hi Yuki!" I heard. I put my head up and it was Sam. He had a bright smile and took a seat next to me. "What shall we do our project on? A poster board?" He asked. I stayed quiet and he looked confused. "Is there something wrong?" He asked. I shook my head no, I stayed quiet. I didn't like speaking to Sam, he was the most annoying person here. Maybe I'm just being too cruel, I hardly know him. "No." I said. "Oh... Ok so can I come over to your place after school so we can get working on it?" He asked. I shrugged my shoulders and nodded. "Sure I have nothing else to do anyway." I told him.

"Ok, good! I'll just go to the store before I come over so we can get started on it." He said, he sat a little closer to me and I was wondering what was his plan here. "So... How are you?" He asked causally, I'm shocked right now. He doesn't seem to be acting immature around me, maybe it's just because he was with his best friend that's maybe why he's acted like that. "I'm good... Look I'm going to be honest here i didn't want to work with you." I said.

"Oh, yeah me neither I wanted to work with either Sookie or Taurtis, mostly Sookie. I like her." He said, saying the ending with a weird tone. He turned around and looked at Sookie. I rolled my eyes and said. "Let's just sit here until class ends..." He nodded and I kept on sitting there, not saying a thing. I can't possibly work with him, I doubt he'll even get any work done! There it goes again, I'm judging him. Oh well I can't blame myself.

"Say, Yuki. Do you mind telling Sookie that I like her for me please?" He said while hanging me note. "There you go just... Grab it and give it to her."

"Maybe later." I said while chuckling, I put it away in my pocket and he nodded. I just waited for the class to end. It was so boring...
