"We're hear", I hear my mom scream. I look out the window to see the Show grounds full of horses and riders.
"Okay honey", my mom states "I'm gonna go get your number from the office while you take Aurora off the trailer and get ready!", my mom said jumping out of the car laughing with a huge smile on her face.
I got out of the car and stretched as I walked to the back of the trailer. I unlatched the trailer door and I sat it down with the big thump. Aurora swung her head around and looked at me and whinnied.
"Hey Aurora" I cued I latching the but bar and walking up to her. I untied the lead rope and got her off pretty well since she's only 4.
After about 30 minutes I had her in her stall in barn b and stall 105. I headed back to the trailer to get my tack, first I got my saddle and bridal rack and took it to my stall and hug them up, then I went back and forth to the trailer and my stall about 4 time before I had everything neat and tidy, well kinda.
I got Aurora out of her stall and clipped her to the cross ties and started brushing her. I gave her a bath before we left the house so she was pretty clean I finished around 20 minutes and stood away and looked at Aurora. "La Jument Grise (meaning the gray mare)" I heard my mom say. Aurora turned and faces her and give a little whinny.🔹Authors note🔹
